I think it'll be a question in regards to how much you like the game or not. If you like the game enough to give it 50 dollars or not, go right ahead.
Despite how much more fair Guild Wars 2's MTX system is, the mount monetization model they have do not have this type of support.
ex. In Guild Wars 2, you'll buy a mount theme pack, if they release a new type of mount, the original theme pack does not get updated to support that new mount, instead you engage in a gacha model if you want to complete the set with that theme when new types of mounts get released.
