Can someone explain to me the acid farming?

I have my water pump pipes and electricity hooked up fine, but my Osmosis water purifier is only giving me polluted water? No dirty water at all. My coordinates are -1138, -2352. on the west side of map. Im in pollution zone, i have the water pump on stilts placed in water, should i put it on ground instead? im only getting impure acid in my water tank from osmosis filter senndinng it there. any help would be nice.

You are missing one step. you have to take your impure acid, and put it into a fermentation barrel. recipe is 10 impure acid, and 10 water to make 1 acid

You need to be in a place were you ear a beeping sound , or it shows the polution on your backpack . Place the Pump on the water , you get polluted and dirty water . You use the Osmosis thing with polluted water to create impure acid . Then you use a barrel with purified water and the impure acid to make regular acid .

im in a polluted place. i dont get dirty water, only polluted, while placed on wate.
