What do I do with gold ore?

I can't find any Memetics that enable me to smelt it and I can't sell it. How do I refine it?

if you don't have the memetic specialization to smelt it into ingots, then you should look for a smelter that has that memetic.

If you don't have the perk to melt it in gold bars, simply sell it.

I have the perk and put silver and gold bars into a vending machine exchanging the equivalent amount of 30 ore per bar. Pretty lazy about advertising it and only on my server but gets emptied out pretty quickly.

Most folk on my sever seem to be happy enough to smelt batches so definitely worth just asking in chat.

There's some memetic specializations that utilize it, like special items that will increase yields if you use gold/silver/stardust ore when you craft it and have the item in your inventory. Another is smelting them into bars to sell to vendors for loads of energy links, like the ppl above me have stated, or just sell them as is if you don't have any specializations utilizing them.

Another nice mimetic specialisation is the Combo Chipset, if the RNG gods like you - they sell for 12k each to vendors. It takes 10 Automatic Parts (or one of these different types of parts, depending on what you have available: 15 Rusted Parts, 15 Standard Parts, 12 Special Parts, 12 Refined Parts), then 20 Metal Scraps and 30 Electronic Parts.

keep it, some tools use it as a crafting material to make the tool more "better".

Definitely keep it stockpiled as ore rather than converting it all into bars.

Vendors only have a limited supply of cash each week so you only need to smelt and sell a set number of bars before emptying them out.
