each weapon is part of a "family" huntsman, operator, beyonder etc the fragments can be used on weapons of the same family. the name is printed ont eh BP picture its like a faded watermark behind the weapon.
i think the armour seems more forgiving because it has 6 parts per set vs weapons being individual.
but as the fragments are so limited there's room im wrong. as i haven't got to observe this beyond the fist look.
damn. I messed up. I fused whatever was available. pistol, shotgun, LMG, dumb on me for just clicking buttons because I can.
My set up is sniper and assault with a bat for melee. So i want to save fragments with whatever class name (operator, juggernaught etc..) for those? Man this game confuses me.
So I currently have 40 weapon operator fragments. The blueprint for the operator LMG has the option to fuse(40/40). If I scroll down to another operator weapon like a heavy weapon there is no option to fuse (0/40) even though I have 40 operator fragments. They are both the same rarity (blue)
It seems like ppl are saying that you want to save them but they seem specific to differnet weapons.
OHHHH jeez. Its not unlocked in memetics thats why I cant fuse the rocket launcher.
ok im dumb I get it now
In the upper right corner of every blueprint is a small jigsaw puzzle piece icon, with a circle around it. If you have enough fragments to fuse it, the jigsaw icon is yellow. If you have less, the icon is white, and the outer circle is a progress meter towards unlocking that one item. If you have 10 fragments of 20 needed, half the circle will be filled in.
The class they belong, like operator/huntsman/etc, is another way to use them. Fragments can be used to upgrade any other blueprint that shares the same class.
This can either be because you've already unlocked them, or you simply just do NOT care about that weapon or armor.
But be aware, we don't have any clue how future seasons play out, so you might to be careful about using up fragments to upgrade other blueprints.
The fragments you get now to unlock specific weapons and armor sets might not appear again. Either ever, or for a long time. New armor sets and weapons might be introduced, while the original ones are "vaulted" for a bit. Then after a bit, they might introduce them again. Your playstyle might change over time, and a weapon or armor set you thought of as useless might suddenly be something you want to use. But you never unlocked the armor, and instead used the fragments to upgrade something else.
In the inheritance section of the season goals, it says we will keep all blueprints, and their tiers. We're not meant to max all of them in one season. This is something that's a long term multi-season goal. You might want to unlock all the things we're being given now, and wait for more fragments in future seasons to start upgrading blueprints to higher tiers.
