Pumps randomly started getting dirty water...

As weird as this sounds to say, I want my polluted water.

For some reason my pumps that had been producing polluted water started randomly getting dirty water instead. Did they nerf passive acid farming or something?

yeah...even relocated my pumps as far into the zone as I can and nothing...only get dirty water now. Backpack shows I am WELL into the zone but nothing. They had to have changed something...

Interesting, so just went to check my other pump, because I have one set out in the water OUTSIDE of the contaminated zone and it's full of polluted waters...not sure how this is happening since they are not connected at all. Did they change it so you can get it from water now instead of the ground in contaminated areas? I need to go figure out if they have a patch notes or something..

for me in polluted areas i get polluted water, i pump straight into a tank first before osmosis filter. but over night somehow i get pure water out the filter, with no chance of dirty water in my prefilter tanks

I start today with that and first i place my Water Pump into Water and all Work fine only polluted water come out then i change why i dont want the Water Pump in the Middle of a Possible MUtant Attack if i clean stardust so i place them alway into the Contaminate Zone but out of the Water . After that the Water Pump work 1 Minute normal but then change to give me Dirty Water . So yes it seams you must place them into Water to Work

ive been having exactly the opposite problem. i manually load dirty water into a separate filtration system. all my dirty water is now being filtered into impure acid, not pure water. im not 100% sure, but it only seems to happen when im not actively logged in.

Where did you guys get the water pump? I only can make the small one but dont show the ground water pump.

there is definitely something going on with how the pumps are working now, ive been set up in the oil fields for a couple days now started off my pump in regular ground was pulling polluted water constantly and over the last day or so they've only pumped oil, not to mention the lack of pollution in the oil field area while im logged in.

I had my water lines mix up a bit too, but also only when I was offline. It seems like when the zone/house isn't loaded, some of the background logic around pipes just doesn't work right.

Been pumping polluted water for weeks online & offline - now after the latest patch all the pumps started getting nothing but dirty water out of the ground, haven't moved spots in 2 weeks and have never gotten anything but polluted water in the spot (hence why I chose it).

Don't know wtf is going on.

I have my base right outside Blackfell, and the water had lowered in the lake where my base is

im literally at my base right now, stardust pollution is sitting at about 100 on the backpack, i got 4 pumps in [still starting out] and they get polluted water alright, but i ended up with two water tanks full of dirty water.. wonder if they stealth nerfed it where it will give both when pumping from polluted waters? doesnt make sense to me honeslty

Still haven't been able to find a fix for this. Done with the game for now.

Tried moving the pumps up/down and to other spots in the location, to other locations with pollution, deleting and rebuilding the pumps and purifiers, switched worlds (all 10) and nothing works.

They purposely nerfed acid farming. Now you have to farm it manually from deviants lol.

Seems like a great way to klll a game - introduce base building and ways to farm specific resource, then completely bork it and force people to do sh*t content nobody asked for.
