Part 4 Stardust Roar challenge cannot be completed

For phase 4 Stardust Roar, under exploration, it states find 18 Mystical crates. I am 17/18 yet I have completed every town. I should have way more than 17 and since every town has been completed I cannot get the 18th. Am I missing something here?

I am with you on this one. I have been using map genie so I can actually mark where I've been and I'm going back through every place it says there is a mystical crate, btw you are right, there are WAY more than 18 but you have actually "found" 2 more than me. I'm stuck at 15/18 and it's driving me nuts having to go back through every town and physically confirm I've looted the crate. VERY VERY VERY annoying.

On map genie they are called treasure chests. In game you want the Mystic crates that are revealed after following the purple haze.

i have all 18 so it worked for me i just had to go to all the places on a online map thing and found the last one

The naming scheme is badly translated, it's referring to the chests you get from doing the purple crystal puzzles. Every region has 4 black/purple crystals you can find, touching them in sequence spawns a chest. You need to find 18 of the 24 chests to complete this.
