The game have 60-100 hours of gameplay depending what u do thats pretty dam good for a f2p game.
Personaly i have like 200 hours i think but i was trying to get perfect mods etc and did every single hidden chest/puzzle/weapon attachment.
i also started another character on a earlier phase so i see what perk i get and not wasting my starcrom or w,e they call on wish machine and just buy BP dirrectly.
But yea eventualy ill move on like august 22 for wow expension for sure.
Its a matter of opinion i guess ... where you see "vallid criticism" i see crybaby clowns . A game that was release 3 weeks ago and can give you already 100+ hours (that would be like 4 hours a day playing) ..... i would not call that "lack of content" . Sorry pal , but the amount of game content is balance around "normal" people , not the ones that play the game all day .
And farming not only the correct base legendary mod, but the correct legendary mod with the right suffix with the right mix of bonus stats on it at legendary bonus stat quality - that is your actual endgame. For my Boom Boom build, I can easily see the potential to at least triple or quadrupel the current damage when I get all the armor I want, all upgarded to the max, with perfectly rolled mods and fully buffed up. At the moment you only have a simple proof of concept version of your build, but you are still very far away from being maxed out. That is also why comparing builds is completely useless at the moment, because basically all of them have not really unlocked the true power they can have, because you do not have those really powerful mod bonus stats yet.
Wether farming for perfectly rolled mods is something which is fun to you is something that everyone has to decide for himself, but I guess not every game is made for everyone.
That is also why i tried to ask originally about if people saw the other end being increasing the * of bp's
There 2 endgame currencies: Starchrom and Controllers
One is time gated and the other is sort of finite. You can farm controllers kind of, throughout the week, but it's not fun at all. Both of these facts make it so it's, 1: not fun for players and 2: makes them no money.
So what's the objective with this design exactly? Make players go through these hoops just to neuter progression and give them a gambling menu? Attempting to make me feel pressured to "never miss a week of starchrom!" ? It's just garbage in general.
If Starchrom doesn't have a monetary value to it, then I don't know why it's so safely guarded behind a time gate. Ultimately though, when NetEase gets tired of paying for the host and not getting anything back, Starchrom crates and controller bundles on the shop for sure, 1000000%. Some people would have bought 10s of thousands of those already.
People seriously need to start thinking like a game dev. What benefits you or makes the game better isn't necessarily what makes the business better. It's all about the money. If they make any changes, it's because they think they can make more money by doing them. Keeping millions of parasites playing on your hosted servers is NOT the primary goal.
They have like a hundred servers already. Even if 90% of the playerbase quits, they will STILL have a few servers running at full capacity. And as other MMOs show, new suckers are born every minute and someone who hasn't played yet will download the game to try it. Newcomers are the lifeblood of MMOs, not veterans. Doesn't matter how awesome World of Warcraft is, the veterans always get sick of playing and quit. It's new fresh gamers being added to the pile to replace the lost ones that keeps the servers running, especially since that game operates on subscription costs.
All Once Human cares about is getting every player in the world to try it at least once. They will milk the whales that enjoy it enough to spend and they won't miss the whiners that quit to play something else. Making everyone happy all of the time was never the goal. Instead, the game operates like Fortnite and future seasons will pull players BACK in to try out the new seasonal content. Then everyone will quit again. Repeat.
For sure, you can farm your mods, until your controllers ends.
New Phase open -> Do the new content -> Second Day of the new Phase, do the weekly stuff -> Farm Hard or Pro Silos for "perfect" Mods.
If you run out of controllers, like i did 2 times, then you can do your daylie events to grab 4 Controllers - Thats it.
TLDR: If you are a hard-grinder, then you will start to stay around and wait until you get a new phase/controllers. If you are a casual gamer, with a playtime of 2-4 Hours per Day, you can very good enjoy the game.
