Basicly if i would put my Osmosis waterfilter stand alone, no pipes connected, and fill it up with polluted water, it would produce pure water.
Yes , this is terrible .. im done with this game..
1. Dont put your pump in water, always on land
2. land spot also can behave like waterspots, getting polluted and dirty water together, move waterpumps and check 2-3 cycles, if it still pumps dirty water, move the waterpump to a slighly different location, farther away from water or further to already working pumps.
- to move pumped water/acid i suggest to not use pumps and rather use "gravity" to let everything flow
-If waterpumps, pumps up acid & water, move the waterpump to a slighlty different location until it only pumps acid. If they only do it offline check every single pump and make sure they really only pump acid while you are Online(waterpumps in polluted areas will always pump acid at the first timer in the pump, dont get fooled and wait at least 2 more time cycles to make sure it continuously pumps acid), then always log off while being at your acid farm.
also my setup is like this:
20 waterpumps > 4 water tanks > 2 purifiers > 1 water tank > manually placing it in barrels after that.
(no waterpumps to move water, just to pump, let gravity do it by placing at different heights.)
No drop of water for 2+ weeks after i tweaked every single waterpump. But it probably took me a week to notice and tweak all "faulty located" waterpumps.
But as for the results, i can never pinpoint how many acid i make as it always changes, currently sitting for some odd reason at 3 full water tanks of impure acid while the purifiers are sweating on the work, usually the water tanks nearly empty while they produce
Thank you for the response but that wouldnt cause what what i stated in my post on 2 september. Even if ALL 4 input slots of the purifier are filled up with 4x100 polluted water bottles, it still manage to produce purified water when offline. Which should be impossible as there's no space left in the purifier for dirty water bottles. Unless there would be a hidden 5th compartiment where the purifier could store incoming dirty water bottles.

I have a setup for the acid farm in a contaminated area in my territory, and another setup in a non contaminated part of my territory that create pure water.
It seems that when I'm offline, the game mix the setups and the osmosis purifier purify the dirty water pumped by the other pumps, even if they are not linked together.
Solution: when offline, I turn off the dirty/purified water setup, and now my osmosis purifier only gives me impure acid, no more purified water!
Barrels seems to produce less when offline vs when online, don't know if there's a fix for that, but at least one problem solved!
This WORKED for me thank you!
