Stability is affecting the accuracy of my gun

My accuracy is at 97 on my LMG and I used to run a stability calibration and my bullet spread was extremely tight in OTS and ADS. After changing it to an assault calibration (-50 stability), my bullets hardly hit the center anymore. The calibration mod is supposed to only affect stability, but it's affecting my accuracy as well. Changing accessories to reduce accuracy and increase stability only make my bullet spread worse so I'm not sure what's going on here.

It's still great for weakspot hitting bosses in PVE, but not so great for PVP.
