Purple agent set vs purple heavy gear set.
One set gives elemental buffs and the other is weakspot damage and reload speed. I play mostly solo and like using the crossbow. I also haven't received any great weapon blueprints that do elemental damage but I'm sure to get some after Tall Grass which I just finished. So most importantly does reload speed also apply to crossbow or just guns? Im not grinding the game, playing casually. So I don't want to waste materials on making both sets. Even if reload speed does work for crossbow, am I being silly skipping on elemental buffs just because I haven't got the right weapon BPs yet?

I assume it applies to anything that reloads, that is to say has an animation and a bar that fills up. A normal bow might just be its fire rate, not reload. The scout set might work better for a bow for stealth attacks.

Side thing, I know status damage is a thing, and elemental damage, but is burn Considered both an element and status, or are weapons with burn doing blaze damage. Honestly don't know how the damage things work. Like what is suppression damage? Idk how this all is considered.

buy the purple SOCR from the wish machine bluprint shop for 2k Starcrom (don't gamble) and make a power surge build, witht he heavy set, you can make tier 2/3/4/5 in your benches with the BP
i went with the agent set. i mostly play sniper build and dont use elemental damage.

I know you dont want to grind, me either, but after I hit level 50 and started crafting the tier 5 items, i noticed i had so much resources i was able to make every set at tier 5. it actually doesnt cost much. so you will easily be able to craft both sets at tier 5. the only thing that will be expensive is upgrading each piece to the highest calibration level, which probably isnt worth it for anything that isnt legendary since legendary are the only ones that can go to level 10 calibration and are thus the best overall.

So I suggest making the set now that works with your best or favorite gun, then later just make both sets at tier 5 and see which one you ultimately prefer. then when you know what you actually want to invest in, you can start calibration.
