How to use turrets?

Are they any good?
I got a friend doing a purification events with plenty of turret around the house.
And most of the turrets were not even firing...
Is there a trick to it?

Other than that they have a very small angle to shoot up/down, there's no secret. Avoid placing them in places that are too high or too low from where the enemies are and they work Ok.

Also you need the better ones, lvl 3 to be able to do any meaningful damage in enemies lvl 25+, the first ones can only help until lvl 25 enemies.
