guess i wouldnt be allowed as i dont have biomass
the whole point of the contribution thing is to punish leechers, but when the player is introduced to the prime war, theres no indication at all of what it entails. when if first rocked up i had no idea we needed explosives and ♥♥♥♥, most of the people there didnt either, so it ended and were like "well this content sucks" and never did it again. cant punish people for not knowing things when its the game that doesnt explain anything until your already there, and then its too late anyway. Plus, doesnt that turret need tungsten to craft? the prime war is introduced in the level 30 bracket i think, thats miles away from tungsten so theres no way for lvl 30s to even contribute, other then use grenades and grenade launchers/rockets, which it takes like 500 rockets or whatever to break its armour apart, which isnt feasable.
At hard mode players should already know that explosives are what're needed to destroy the shell. When the hp bar of the boss shows up it even deliberately tells you to use explosives.
You've done Easy mode so you should know by now that shooting the boss with regular rounds does nothing but 5 dmg per shot.
You can't punish players who actually bring explosives by eating up their resources and end up failing anyway because they're the only ones trying to destroy the shell.
The contribution thing doesn't do anything for players who actually do something to the shell when the PW fails because no one else is helping with the shell.
Would rather them change the design/mechanics of Prime War. Too much of a gimmick fight, then an engaging one. Sure, people don't come to the event with the correct supplies, that's annoying. And if they did come prepared, doesn't change the fact that the event is poorly balanced and boring. The other end game content (Silos and Monoliths) are objectively better in every way. Crappy to gatekeep 800 starchrom behind wasting a TON of resources.
A lot of people(including myself) seem to forget bringing biomass missiles/plasma since there is no warning what is needed in the fight.
