I am trying to find a mod for my melee weapon...

I am trying to find a mod for my melee weapon, but nothing seem great, and I was wondering if I have a mod on my melee will it go into effect only when I have my melee equipped or even when I don't have it equipped? Because no mods, and I have quite many, seem to boost my melee damage so far.

Right now since the new update the legendary mods at the jellyfish girl don't have their descriptions appearing, additionally the text where it says 30 mins for a staroid event shows asian langauge characters where it should say mins along with a few other locations its showing them and I speak english. Hope they get that fixed snappy like. As for the mod I am also looking for a melee mod for my t5 rare plans axe(till i find a legendary or purchase one) i currently use a blue(uncommon) weapon mod. To answer your question vision, I believe the mod is only active on the weapon your using at the moment. like shrapnel mod on my AR doesnt carry over to my melee and i lean heavily on melee but still want the firepower of a projectile weapon. Armor mods are all the time. That is how it looks like to me being a melee heavy leaning player. Good luck.
