And yeah your friends stuck on different servers doesn't help. And most don't want to start again once they have invested time into their world.
this happens in all server wide games look how classic wow was server got closed to make sure servers are stable.
Dont blame the devs for this. you could chosen same server at same time wich you didnt this can happen in modern popular games dont act suprised.
Just play and once reset happens pick same server problem solved.
you can solo stuff but ppl are not soloing stuff due to it takes longer time doing it solo, there is no good player that soloes stuff unless for the giggles.
well geared good ppl trying to perfect their mods in their build are not soloing, they are doing it in 2-4 man group. even pugging it but they try to stick to ppl they know becuse we are speedrunning hard silos for mods.
for instance dog hard for the weapon mod gets done in about 30 sec. to put it into perspective.
redlight greenlight is silo forgot name we speedrun in about 2 min and 10 sec.
But sorry, even in solo, there is nothing that even remotely qualify as "average difficulty" in the game. The game is easy for now - and that's written on the sever description [beginner difficulty]
Spider boss is anoying yeah, and the 4th boss has an anoying OS mechanic...that is easily avoided once you know the trick... and that's it. All the other ennemies are absolutelly irelevant.
Really? I'm solo as well and I just beat it up with my Baseball baton my first try :D
I Struggled a little on the level 40 boss as level 34. But you can dodge his attacks pretty easily. Got him on my 3rd attempt :D
At that point I was using my baseball bat and the green starting sniper. Just calibrate them some. My Bat is still one of the best weapons :D One shots anything under level 45 while I'm still on level 40 taking it slow.
Shadow hound/4th boss did catch me off guard though. I didn't know about the portals in the room and I didn't know dealing enough damage while it did its "sonic aerial spindash" would negate the unblockable attack AND knocks it down for you to get some up close & personal attacks on it for several seconds. Died a few times before I said screw it and rebuilt my character and crafted higher rarity weapons & gear. Fight went much faster & and I wasn't knocked down at all.
Haven't tried the next boss just yet since I've finally been able to progress after the base bug that happened several days ago was fixed on my server.
Almost every activity in the game gives exp and ELs. You can easily upgrade your gear with minimal grinding. Enemies are easy too. You can one shot enemies few levels higher than you with a decent sniper or a crossbow.
Devs are ♥♥♥♥ though.
I've soloed everything so far, rushing through places over and over isn't my thing and I prefer to go at my own pace.
Spider boss was more annoying than hard. For me I got hit by that web ball that pulls you in for a swipe the instant the cutscene ends and I really didn't see any real point to the fog that appears when the eggs turn up other than padding the fight since it lasts far too long to be anything but annoying.
A more noticeable point about the games difficulty is that the basic copper ammo is still effective for popping heads well into the 4th zone, probably higher on a fully calibrated gun and mileage does vary by enemy type. I think it'd be worth those rounds having some kind of drop off based on the level of enemy as while I have moved to steel rounds there's currently not much incentive to make or use tungsten ammo outside big boss killing.
Certainly the run and gunners will benefit from a round that does more damage but if a head goes pop with copper or steel then using a round that requires acid to make just doesn't make sense as the regular use for a sniper.
