Frontier engagement zone defense

Every time i build a solid defense in the empty engagement zone, honeycombed and everything- I wake up and find it vanished without a trace. This is the third time in three separate unclaimed zones scattered across the map.

What do I need to actually defend here- I assumed it was the little antenna you place down so I walled that in, but now I'm questioning. Do I need to protect the pump's inbuilt terminal too aside from just preventing resource theft?

Are my defenses just despawning every day:? DO they require upkeep or something?

i also experiencing this, i would like to know. is it just someone that destroying it, or there is a time limit or need of maintenance

Unless there's just some insane person destroying bases without claiming it afterwards it has to be despawning right? I found beta footage where upkeep was required but the claim terminal doesn't seem to ask for it anymore weirdly enough?

There is a bug in the game. In almost every refinery there is a beacon that has 0 health. If one single bullet hit that beacon, everything get insta destroy it.

they have an upkeep cost the beacon tells you what the cost is and if you haven't deposited enough it will despawn the structures.
