How is the game for casual players?
I would like to play this just until I'm bored. I don't care about loot, crafting, building etc. Are there any unique locations? Does the story end? Is there resolution? How long is the campaign?

It is an ongoing story that is released in Seasons.

If you are only playing for the story, there's a number of hours for you - but crafting, looting and building are integral to the game-play.

This game doesn't appreciate your typical casual player, at all.

With seasonal wipes and timegated seasonal phases and you have limited time commitments to this game, you will struggle to achieve any sort of meaningful progress.

I am a causal player. I even do not have completed any quest line over level 5. But I am already at level 28 for minimal exploring, crafting, building and completed the achievement. That was only 2 weeks time. I am still waiting for the week 3 released. I am not sure everything after level 30 yet. No dungeon, no quest, no group stuff. It can be somehow causally playing till now.

It's not designed for filthy casuals.

I work everyday, and I still managed to play the game as a solo. No complaints whatsoever. I don't speedrun the game so I can actually enjoy it.

It is a GaaS looter shooter, it doesn't meet your criteria.

Indeed MMO soloing is quite popular.

I do 1 big area and maybe 2 small areas a day just working around the current area. I'll probably finish the 3rd area on saturday with beating the area boss. I don't have the luxury of being in school or being retired to play all day.

It was made for casual players or people that have never played a game before. There is no real grind/farming anything and everything is limited by 1 week releases till the 6th which it will then reset.

Game has 6 week wipes, if you are a casual player, you will not complete it in time. Also, the community will hate you for complaining about it.

It's a looter shooter without loot, 90% garbage recycling simulator with base building elements.

TBH, I wont complain for not completing. Even, I already paid a lot real money for pretty stuff. No pressure for me to not complete anything that is not essential to real life living, as far as I can get entertainment. I play MMO over 20 years. I had the time for eager upgrade, achievement, dungeon and raid, but after many games, I don't care now.
