This also is a MMO, so we shouldn't be facing those enemies alone.
With all that being said, it's very easy to run from them.
I will shoot it once with each weapon to see if it takes any considerable damage. If not, I just avoid it.
Nothing is gated by these challenges.
There's also a perk in the craddle for further increase the dmg you do against them.
Just once I got a gold rarity weapon, but due how the durability fades so quick now I don't even consider using droped gear.
I do think that the shield and health recharge rates are a bit overpowered as I've found with some of the higher level enemies it can be a challenge to fully deplete their heath before the shield goes back up and then their health regenerates quite quickly.
I sent some feedback to say so too
It does not increase the damage to them ... it allows you to do the normal damage using the correct weapon . You do 0 weapon damage to those npc and the skills gives you 100% weapon damage .
Secondly, if you are a veteran you should have plenty of legendary weapons. Within 20 mins I already crafted full set of gears from wish machine before I even set foot in any zone and face any of these.
