Had to quit after 500 hours

This game is unfair and the current design gives a very small percentage of players a huge advantage due to the way they have severely limited access to resources. Specifically each server has between 500-800 people on it. there are 10 worlds on each server. On each world there are literally just 4 plots available to obtain vital in game resources, polluted water and oil. So in total 40 plots for 500-800 players. If you don't get a plot in this area then tough luck and how to enjoy the rest of the game when given such a disadvantage compared to the tiny percent of players who were lucky enough to get one of these building locations.

I was really enjoying this game, the social aspect too. But then the idiotic rush as phase 2 began to be one of the lucky 6% or so of people playing on the server to be able to enjoy the game and maximise the season by securing a plot at Balckwell which is the only place on an a huge map with hundreds of thousands of building plots available. And yet they could only provide 4 plots on each world for both oil and polluted water. Anyone else think that is unfair?

1. you don't need poluted water to gain huge chunks of acid... it is even the most ineffectiv method of all.
2. for oil there are so many spots, basicly everyone could gather it with pumps.... but you are not forced to focus on it either.... just do the horde events.

I wonder how i managed to come along without these spots. Still managed to do all content solo last season. Had a surplus on fuel, stardust and acid in endgame.
It really depends how you set your priorities and your skill.

Don't go to the meta places like blackwater oil fields because some youtuber told you so, haha.
There are dozens of good base spots with polluted water and/or oil and also different ways to aquire these resources.

skill issue, these resources can be acquired waaay faster with other means than just crying you can't get a good spot at blackwell.

There are several ways to get resources excluding Rubber and Platinum Crystals which you have to loot or get from disassembled gear.

If you're hurting on Acid loot Blackfell several times a day with hunter's luck and you'll net around 1k Acid

You can do refineries using permits which gives out Acid, Premium Fuel and Stardust Source.

if you're good enough try farming Sproutlets from Cargo Scramble or Highway Chase and exchange them for Acid, Premium Fuel and Stardust Source from Nisa.

Talk to people, engage on trade, purchase from vendors.

Game is designed to be an MMO-esque, and not a Solo experience

My hive never had our base placed in a polluted area, or oil field.
Learn to work with others, cooperate.

- Acid supply can easily be solved as long as you have ONE member in your hive able to turn Sulfur into Acid.

- Energy Link can be easily solved by someone who can craft valuables (ie. Combo Chipset, YuanBao Dumplings, Gold/Silver Ingot)

- Stardust supply can be easily solved by someone who can smelt Stardust Ore, or have Stardust water pump.

- Mixed fuel can easily be obtained by having someone / team go down a road and just scavenge, the return is much faster than oil field process.

- World Events / Refinery will give you Premium fuel faster than the automated process

In Phase 5 (Manibus). Open world Manibus event will DROWN you in Energy Link, fuel, and other goodies. Extremely easy to do, doesn't take long, event respawn time is extremely quick.

if you solo , fuel not your problem the polluted water is one you need to get if you don't want to farm from deviant and there a lot of pulluted area to set up base
don't worry about mining spot just get Sola Drill and get it by yourself it quick than use mining platform

you dont need these plots the resources you get from living in that ugly ahh area are easy to get otherwise. i just buy premium fuel with sproutlets and do dungeons for stardust source. i currently have 15k stardust source and enough sproutlets to buy premium fuel to do 8 fkin roadtrips around the map

You can make crystals with the proper specialization.

Why do refineries when there are several ways to farm what you mentioned?

You do not need to be good enough to farm Sproutlets. I rarely encounter players in Cargo Scramble. I have 4K+ banked. Hoping for more skins.

I solo a lot in this game with minimal need to trade or interact with others. Only time I do interact with others is with Pro only instances and Prime Wars. Everything else is just simple farming. Just need to find your routine between the meaty bits of the game.

Refineries, pumps and mining platforms (I'm not sure about barrels) share a limit. Don't forget about electricity. So you can't put 20 pumps and 20 refineries and a bunch of barrels to get tons of fuel and acid.

As written above, just lvl up the second character, you don't even need level 50 to make a farm. Although he can get tasty skills that can really help the main character.

Yeah the devs said its unintentional to be able to farm oil, polluted water and take advantage of super powerful deviant generators. That was in week 1 of the first servers (almost 2 months ago).
Obviously they can't change the map for the ones that are already running, but they should have fixed it for the next season. I'm in very populated hard server and min 1 of the start of the second phase everyone was racing towards Blackfell refinery to build their base there.
They are dropping the ball on many fronts recently

I don't understand this post. There are lots of mats everywhere. I was in one of those choice locations and I moved to prettier spot as I do not like be surrounded by crude oil and pollution. I am tear 5 and fully geared for my spec and my base is completed. I have more t hen enough mats to do anything i want .
