THE RESET SUCKS
Just moved to new season and I could only move over a handful items which I cannot even equip or craft due to level 40 level restriction. So, I am sitting here with no gear, no way to craft gear and facing a tedious grind to level 40, and I have to rebuild my based, farm all the materials again, get all the deviants again just to get back to where I was. It's stupid and I'll never do it.

You'll restart every 6 weeks. Learn to devote yourself to this game ok?

Yeah I don't know much about the server wipes but I hear you lose alot of stuff. I'm going to check it out and if I am in same boat then it's an uninstall for me. It took me weeks to grind my way to gold tier 5 weapons and armor. You really think I'm going to redo that all over again for the same stuff? NOPE! We'll see but I do have uninstall in the crosshairs.

If it's a new map, new characters, new enemies, new quests, whole new experience, new drops, then maybe. I just know I'm not interested in repeating the whole same thing all over again I just did for the past 4 weeks.

if you feel like this then youre gonna uninstall because its the same thing with less content if you pick the streamlined quests. just logged in today to smash the wish machine then uninstalled. will try again with new pvp scenario and if thats anywhere near as bad as evo call then its getting shelved for the foreseeable future.

Wipe was completely unnecessary and was just a tool to reconsolidate the servers because of the horrible design.

omfg rofl you still have the blueprints lolz craft your lvl gear and go wtf you thinking? ahahahahaha .. plus you could have read what you keep and lose in the countless places it is posted .. but alotof ppl some how forgot how to read ...

You played yourself. There's strategy involved deciding what to spend the 20k on to take into a new season. Maybe do a little research before jumping in head first and wasting the points on something you can't use early game and could easily craft when required later on? You could have taken your best deviations, an adv drill and chainsaw to quickly farm mats and enough resources to build an electric furnace, power source etc.

It´s sad really. Is a good game, but this delirium of server wipes are on another level. I supose that is some kind of mechanism to keep away casual gamers and focus on the younger player base with a lot more free time.

What were you thinking?!? You don't need to bring your weapons!!! You can't even equip T5 weapons until level 40!
You keep your weapon blueprints! You can just build a new T1 set of equipment when you start a new season!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You wasted all of those points because you didn't READ!!!
I'm already back to T3 equips, brought my best deviations, an advanced drill and chainsaw, batteries for them, and I have almost 10k points left to bring over anything else such as hard to find seeds like morel and aloe.
I'm sitting pretty while you just PLAYED YOURSELF!!!
Live and learn, I guess.
Still, huge OOF. :steamfacepalm:

Then it will be the longest game I ever wasted so much time on in such short time. That's like taking a single player game you just beat erase your saved data and starting from the beginning again. I'm ok with that and have played many SP games over again BUT with a huge amount of time passed between playthroughs too. I'm talking like years....
There's word that it will be a new map with new quests. What are they going on about with that? I want to play a game I will enjoy not one that becomes a chore. ♥♥♥♥ that.

All you have to do is start a new season, drop from the sky like you did the first time around, find a base spot, build base, gather materials, craft T1 equips from your blueprints that CARRY OVER and you're back to a full legendary set in no time.
Though, you may want to hold off on going legendary armor from the get. It takes stardust source to craft it and there's a shortage of that stuff at the beginning of the game.
I just remade my weapons and then crafted a set of purple armor until I hit Iron River. By that time, I had a nice bank of stardust source so I felt comfortable crafting my legendary armors for that added hp/pollution resist.

Buddy that's the whole thing I'm getting at. Re-crafting everything over anew. Like what is the point? Even if I could get past the repetitiveness of redoing all my armor and weapons all over again (which was not easy and took a lot of time and yes stardust source gets eaten up real quick causing even further delays on upgrades and whatnot). The map and quests are they new? Or am I just gonna be repeating pretty much my first 2 weeks all over again?

the point is they should have promoted this game as rogue-like, the point of starting new is to make the BP you already unlocked even stronger and or unlock the BP you don't have yet.
OFC you have a point if you have to do the same all over, its kinda boring, then again Diablo3 was like that and tons of people releveled and did all the same over and over and over... you get the point. and mind you D3 you did not make your gear better. in this game you do.

its all up to you if you find this type of games interesting or not.

you can uninstall the game til october which is the month the new pve scenario will launch.

your arguments are valid, as are everyone else's. yes, it is not enticing restarting from scratch. it can get repetitive especially if it's the same content. i personally don't mind the "wipe" but many do and that's ok.

however, if you plan accordingly and bring the correct items into the new season, rebuilding from nothing is quick and easy. even moreso if you have a hive/warband going in.

here's the thing. this is the way the game is designed. i don't see the devs re-imagining their vision for the game as that would take a lot of work, time, and resources, so if the "wipe" is truly a dealbreaker for you, then just play something else. no, this isn't me condescendingly telling you to stop complaining. i am just telling you how it is. you are free to continue arguing, as it is your right to share your grievances, but nothing will change. you're just going to waste your time.

I would love to understand all of you who say the reset is good, I have started again, and so far, I find myself doing everything again and I dont mean, exploring and questing..... but going to place A , find the crates, going to place B, find the crates, place C and B again, Nothing new, then unlock monolith, kill same boss all over again, and repeat up to level 50 to come to an endless mod far for the perfect mod.... am I crazy? what am I not understanding? Why is this fun? im not trying to pick a fight, im honestly trying to understand how can this be fun..... im doing the same map, the same places but without the joy of the mission from the beginning... and im doing it, being a bit bored knowing that in 6 weeks..... it will all happen again..... can anyone please tell me why?

PS: Save the "if you dont like it dont play it" comments.... its a game, I like my hobbies.... and I loved this game until this reset happened....

Whatever that random mix of letters is, I will assume its a coherent thought. Thanks for the insight, your words clearly are poetry.. Kinda like how in the 70's.. Jackhammers, an Cement Mixers were ' music '..
