Please remove the lockout on gather-able deviants.
I've been doing some personal testing and at least 99% sure that there is a lockout on the gather-able deviants (Bunny, Growshroom, Digby). To put it simply, you can recieve 2 of them before you are put on a lockout/cooldown for a indeterminate amount of time and in that time you can't get any more.

For testing, i've gathered 2 Growshrooms within 300 mushrooms multiple times, and then another 700 afterwards got me nothing. Digbys are the same, i can get 2 after a long period of silver farming then nothing.

And again, Bunnys, choping down large trees with the relog method i get two within 10 or so trees, then 40 afterwards i get nothing. As for the cooldown, i can't be sure i know it's at least a few hours, or it may be linked directly to the loot reset, more testing is needed here but the fact is, it exists.

The worst part is, is that i have a feeling that these three share a cooldown, i've gone from farming shrooms to trying to get bunnys or digbys to just get none after a extended period, this may still be down to bad rng of course.

I understand why this was in place, since we can gather these resources essentially infinitely without wait it makes them far easier to get than the deviants that are shared between everyone and spawn on a cooldown.

But that was back when all there was to get was a higher ranked deviant with some decent abilities.

But now we have alternate forms with unique abilities, the drop rate for them being around 5% or maybe sub that, having such a heavy restriction on these deviants feels utterly terrible as me and many others want to be able to hunt them when we have time, this artificial timegating is horrible.

Please remove it.

Yes, this change does not make sense with new variants that were added. Many people have limited time when they can play. This will just cause more players to lose interest in the game. Having time locks on deviants that can be farmed especially without information or an announcement on the change is not the way to keep your player base.

I collected maybe 3 pup-balloon things early on then the last 5 days i have killed maybe 100 per day and nothing.

I'm glad to see others testing this as well. Did some Growshroom testing last night with similar results. 1x Growshroom in 42 Mushrooms, proceeded by none for another x520 Mushrooms. Similar results as well from Lethal Rabbit, 1x in 38 then nothing for another hour (lost count sadly but it was in excess of 200).

Tried multiple modifiers to see if anything trips this cooldown, which include:
1: Hopping worlds
2: re-logging
3: restarting the game
4; Not having the earlier Deviant in my backpack

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not complaining that there is a cooldown as it makes sense to seasonal grinds but the lack of understanding what influences this cooldown is a frustration point for sure. Not a fan of wasting time for a hidden timer but perfectly fine trying my luck once a day (If that's how long the cooldown is for example). My best guess so far is a daily or weekly timer for this but I'll update after a few more days of testing

You're not understanding the topic. Yes you can get multiple, we all have multiple Digby's and rabbits and whatever. The point of this post is understanding how to farm these Deviants efficiently.

They have essentially "Pokemon'd" deviants by adding Shiny variants. Beside the aesthetic change having more chances to pull better deviants is always a worthwhile cause, wouldn't you like your 4 Digby's to be 5/5's?

Yeh you should get a shroom every 30-40 mushrooms without fail, not 1-2 then nothing for 1000 mushrooms.

And here I am sitting on 5 or 6 growshrooms (been thru about 15 of them looking for the higher stat ones)..
Have you tried jsut growing tons of mushroom? I get Growshrooms just from the collection my Growshrooms get when I plant mushrooms. Yall need some? Ive been tossing the 1\1 and 2\2 grow shrooms

This topic is more about being able to effectively farm the deviants, as they play an important role during the season. To that end they have added variations that are rare to obtain. I enjoy this game a great deal, but the time I have to play being locked out after a short period to work at obtaining things I want, is not something that has me looking forward to logging in. I love collecting so not only do I want to collect the different appearances but they actual have unique talents as well. If this is something they did not intend on doing, it would be great to get a we are working on it message. If it is something they intended on putting into the game, some information on the new system for those of us wanting to put the time and work into getting the variants would be beneficial to keeping a lot of players from giving up the efforts.

i'v got 5 digby, 1 rabbits, 2 beavers, 10 Eel's and i'v deleted (sold for sand) atleast 6 of them.
i kinda believe the OP, but it seems to be on a persons basis, probably depending on how much they play. we all know chinees love to controle people and their habbits, this seems to me like a nice AI watching R every move as sort of speak.

i'm at the moment farming for furniture BP's and i login every loot chest reset for the past two weeks, BUT the last two days (ish) i start to notice that not all loot chests reset, very weird and i almost don't get any BP, i would not mind bp's i already have, i can decompile them to then craft a new, but i get none... feels like the game telling me to stop doing what i'm doing.

could be my mind playing tricks on me too, then again chinees game, i assume they have to add a sort of controle for aisian players, so how much of that seeps into R version ??

Update

With some testing I have narrowed down the cooldown.

It appears the cooldown is 1 Hour.

I've successfully performed this for the past 3 runs/hours and each time the Rabbit and Shroom dropped in ~1/50 odds. Some have gone higher but never more than 70, your luck may vary.

You do not have to hop worlds, restart your game, offload the Deviant, etc. Simply gather your desired Deviant (Lethal Rabbit, Glowshroom, likely Digby but cannot confirm w/ so few silver ores atm) and continue playing for an hour or log out as will keep going counting offline.

The cooldowns are per Deviant so you can get the 2 listed above, back to back, then wait 1 hour and repeat. If anything further is discovered I'll return to provide another update.

This isn't about overall, this is about farming them in a specific time frame. There being a cooldown after getting 2.

its not a small sample size issue you can literally test it for yourself. the first 2 rabbits come from about 5-6 tree average each. after that no matter how much you chop you won't get a rabbit. If you know anything about statistics you'll know that's nearly impossible unless the rates change. the chance of failing to get another rabbit assume 20% to get one in another 30 trees is (1-.2)^30= 0.001237 or 1 in 800. And i've sure as hell chopped over 30 trees after my initial 2 rabbit for that period.

And you're illiterate. they aren't talking about the total they're talking about the limit per farm period. which if you tried farming for rabbits you'll know obviously exist
