Once Human
Once Human on HDD ?
In the recommanded settings they say SSD highly recommanded, but I can only install the game on my HDD. Is the game doing good on HDD (like playable at 60 fps but just with long loading times) ?

UPDATE: I tried it on my HDD and it's perfectly working with no lag and no stutter !! Could play with a friend with zero issues (well only server issues but that's another problem)

no maybe at 20 fps with audiostutter
Did you try the game on HDD?
my main Windows OS is installed on an m.2 nvme ssd and all my Steam games are installed on an internal HDD and all are working fine

the only reason to install to a m.2 or SSD is if the game takes advantage of direct storage access api that's not support by this game

Some games I played are unplayable on my HDD (like Cyberpunk 2077, Naraka Bladepoint, TFD, etc). I had like 20 fps, a lot of stutter and texture not loading. Then I installed them on my SSD and everything was perfectly fine. That's why I prefer to ask for this game, as the devs highly recommand a SSD

no. it's just common sense. But if you want to convince yourself, just do it.
Thx for taking the time to answer but I prefer waiting for someone who tried the game on a HDD:steamhappy:

Be happy, I still have it on my NAS as a backup. I'll take a look.

Well, you can play it, but I still recommend an SSD. There are quite a few stutters in there with an HDD. That would really bother me
Okay, thank you very much for your response:steamthumbsup:
I have the game on M2 8Gb/s and I can't even imagine the game on HDD that's just 120 MB/s it's not good for any gaming nowadays even just normal SSD with 500MB/s would be better and maybe won't stutter ok have a good day friend

It plays absolutely fine on my HDD. I don't see any of these stutters people mention.
To be frank a HDD is really bad these days compared to a SSD or m.2 ssd but still if it works it works, happy to hear it

I am currently playing on HHD and let me tell you, takes about 15mins to load the game even with 3080 TI / 32gb rams. SSD is the way.

really?`i have cyberpunk 2077 on my HDD and i even finished the DLC etc. o-o i had no issues.
tho to be fair, my HDD is a seagate barracuda and its not a cheap HDD either.
tho, if this game says SSD highly recommended should it be on an SSD.

i just use my barracuda for normal games which dont have the "SSD recommended" on it. everything else which actually says SSD recommended goes onto my SSD.

i wonder how once human would do on my barracuda, it probably runs without issues cause i played for example starfield on my seagate barracuda and i had no issues, i simply wanted to know if it works or not since peoples said and even shown that starfield for example wouldnt be nice on a HDD but then again, a seagate barracuda is one of the fastest HDD´s today and not cheap either.

tho am scare´d of what peoples say about once human aka how it scrapes your personal informations etc. once that got fully debunkt am i willing to check how my barracuda handles this game even tho it wants an SSD.

Seems like you did not understand what he said.

Some games absolutely do NOT run on a HDD.
