How to remove two processes from startup
Like many people, after installing the game I had two startup processes. Who knows how to remove them from startup? It's annoying to have them there

could be helpful to at least name the processes perhaps?
On Win 11, CTRl SHIFT ESC opens task manager. Click Startup Apps on left then right click and disable the stuff you don't want to run on startup.

Or, use google ;)

I didn't get any new startup processes added by the game.

i noticed the processes that were added dont actually trigger anything as whatever the instruction program was for them, was removed. So you can disable/delete them or ignore them and it changes nothing.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Indeed there's some weird stuff running behind and added to startup. Just noticed it. Was hidden at normal task manager, yet revealed with p.monitor. Why a game forcing hidden CMD at background with conhost?

is the conhost folder in system 32 folder? if it is you're fine, if it's not then that's sus
You're fine conhost uses like 10mb or less of ram

It's even normal for this process to be running several times simultaneously (you'll often see multiple instances of conhost.exe in Task Manager).

Most of the time conhost is used by windows i'm sure you know that, Third parties can use cohost as well, why once human using it for access to command prompt? beats me

"hidden cmd" at background with "conhost"
I would start by looking up what conhost is. Then you can navigate on over to the link Arsinue posted to figure out the rest. It will be very disappointing when you find out it's simple marketing numbers gathering by an american company called AppsFlyer and not some kind of crazy plot to steal all your data from viruses or w/e you're all imagining

Nope, i'm not that kind of tinfoil hatter's club, and keep playing the game. I just wanted to see if anyone else had a clue regarding, bc i know conhost can be masked and used for wild stuff as well sometimes. As per AppsFlyer, i see. And for data stealing. Np at all. Only things anyways they could find, are music, games & Mr Bean meme images. :praisesun:

it´s very wird , because if it´s a program from the game to run it, why is not together? why it needs to be hiden? what makes it even more weird is that even if you unistal the game , those 2 files in start up ,task manager still stay there... or not having the game turn on or steam on the files is there , even just turning the pc ... the files happears... its very weird ...
