There is a lot of item in the game that is used to repair/upgrade/boost like food ..... it wouldnt surprised me that at some point the game goes pay to skip the grind ..... but at this moment its their problem .

Theyll probably make more money off cosmetics, free to play=more people... more people=more people buy cosmetics... then profit

5 dollar subs... low prices attract a lot of players. The lower you keep the pricing, the more accessible it is to everyone. That equates to more sales. When sales show a good return, you slowly bump the price up until they start to squeal. Then you drop it down again to where they think they have a great deal, at 15 bucks a month. McDonald's did it and nobody even noticed.

90% of the monetisation is cosmetic and a little convenience from getting a better mobile camp with the subscription option.

The "Wish Machine" can be seen as a bit P2W though. It's basically a housing item where you can gamble a currency to get some of the best blueprints in the game. There's a way to use it more if you spend real money. There's lots of ways to earn the currency to use it in game though, you can just use it 'more' if you spend.

Cosmetics.

That's literally it.

Everything else is earn-able in-game and not hard to obtain. That's not to say it won't become P2W down the line but if you want a fun survival crafter mmo to play for a few hours a day for a couple of months then I say go for it. Not a time waste if it's fun.

I wouldn't call that P2W, more like pay for convenience. If you only play on PvE it's not PFC at all and more like Pay to Lose out on playing the game, while on PvP servers it could be seen as P2W.

You can pay a subscription as well as buy cosmetics. I watch all the dev streams and they are extremely generous people who just want support. A lot of respect.
Their devstream literally just said right now "no pay to win. Never pay to win, even if we are broke."

Or follow suit with what Bethesda does: Add pay for private server so single player shill would either shut up and pay or rage quitted.

Coz they saw that milking money from us for long term was better than short term. Also because it'll be opened to everyone. It's like a free trial sampler. If the whales like it, they stay and play, and also pay. This is more on cosmetics tbh, there's a loot box in the game, but its via playin the game to get the item used for the gacha.

A lot of Asian online games are like this. Especially for mobile, so this ain't new to people from the Asian region. Prolly new to the people in the west whose used to co-op or games where you PAY for the game and the devs still shaft you and have mtx. :bbtcat:
