Top 3 selling game on Steam by REVENUE. Looks like OP has failed. Peep's are loving the new cosmetics and season pass.

Actually Steam Deck is #2 slot so in actuality Once Human is the #2 overall software game for revenue. Cha Ching for Once Human Devs!! Well done!
Something else been on my mind for a while, If this was a purely mobile exclusive game and wasn't streamer hyped to the stars, i bet there'd be a shift from complaints about wipes over to the focus on server issues and data scraping.
no one cares about player counts. Revenue Cash is what pays the bills.
It's like noobs who point out, omfg xxx game is top seller, leaving out the bargain basement steam sale -----> soon to be Star Wars Outlaws in a few months, lol
u mad bro?
No, just baffled to see fans defending something that is driving people away and ultimately end in service shutdown
if only your favorite game, Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League had 10x more cosmetic ingame purchases they may have earned a profit, amirite?

When the initial backlash was occurring following launch they said on the live stream that they had an emergency meeting with their lead designer about the wipes. They said they were prepared to act if enough players were leaving over the resets, but that removing wipes would not be as simple as throwing a switch, that it would require a lot of design changes. Which should be obvious to everyone - much of the game is tuned around the wipes, from character advancement speed to acquiring resources like blueprints. All of that would need to be reworked.
They have said multiple times now that they're working on a "year round" scenario, although what that means exactly and whether it is a permanent server remains to be seen. And we have no idea when or if it will ever materialize.
If they're making money (which they clearly are) they have no reason to shutdown. There's also a mobile version on the way, I think the base will be fine.
