Once Human IS BACKED BY NETEASE. NetEase is NOT a small company at all. It is A GIANT company in China, right next to TenCent. They got their finger in every source of entertainment in China and global. They have the budget. Don't BS me. They can't keep with the BS of "small indie company" when they have effen NetEase as their backer.
NetEase has more funds than FF14 and WoW could ever. So ya.. Load of BULL. No excuses.
Netease is Multi-Billion Dollar Company, this is not made by an indie studio.
Pretty much.
NetEase has dozens of Studio and Starry is just the smaller one in there. NetEase also got hundreds of titles in development, they are blowing all their money on Once Human.
You clearly have no idea how Corporation works, this isn't even high on NetEase list. They have dozens of Studios around the world. Once Human didn't have a lot of marketing and the fact that at launch servers were severely limited meaning NetEase didn't really care about the title in the first place, and the budget given was limited. Only when it exploded in popularity they started pouring money in.
In stark contrast FFXIV is the biggest cash cow Square Enix has ever had, it's basically make money so SE can blow it on failed titles like Forspoken.
As it stands I'm just here to build a base for a week because I like base building, not gonna do any leveling because what's the point? Maybe the wipe won't hurt as bad when it's only wiping my level 10 character...
In fact, all of your old blueprints are intact, so go ahead and craft yourself a tier 1 version of all your legendary armor and weapons from last season. Also don't forget to bring your best deviations over from the previous season. Or do forget; your transfer points don't have an expiration date so you can save them and use them on an as-needed basis.
It's like Saying FF14 is not made by SE because it's developed by Creative Studio/Unit 3, you do realise this is how all Big companies work?!
They create multiple studios working on different projects.
It's nice that it takes a different kind of preparation, but -IF- what I heard was accurate - That's gonna suck not having PvE content to play for a month or potentially more.
Yes, and One Human is a small project within a big big corporate. FFXIV is however, very big and crucial to Square Enix given how many titles they bombed.
You clearly have zero ideas how big company work. Final Fantasy is a make or break franchise to Square Enix survival, along with Dragon Quest. Once Human? Something the Executive hears about for a grand five minutes in a two hours meeting and that's being generous. LMAO if you think NetEase poured a lot of money into it. They didn't.
For whiners about MMOs, in WoW, every expansion required get new levels and farming new equipment. But here let's whine that it's hard to farm a bit of ore and wood using a chainsaw and a drill.
No, you loosing calibration of gear and weapons which is more grindy than just making new gear from blueprint. And there is even no good reason to do this over and over again. In every MMO same like in WoW there is good engame and constant new content. And when I wanna play from begining I just make new character. Forsing people to play from begining with same character for no good reason because nothing really changing is just lame.
