The games are similar. Anyone who has played Div2 will vouch for this. Just because here you can eat and drink (Plenty of that to the point where it's just filler) it doesn't mean it's far off from the division. You can also upgrade your stuff in div2 ands witch stuff around upgrade wise. The atmosphere is definitely there, you know the main aspect of the game, the gameplay is not much different and benches placed in a box doesn't make it much different either when you got the same stuff in division 2 except in more "makes sense" scenarios.
There's no "survival" in Once Human, thus Div 2 is a much better game.
is people have enough of FPS, RTS, MMORPG, RPG, JRPG, ACTION, ADVENTURE, ARPG, COOP, SOUL GAME, HORROR, ROGUELIKE, DUNGEON CRAWLER, STORYTELLING, PUZZLE, ARCADE, RETRO, ETC... ?
Most of those (if not all of those) aren't MMOs though. As someone who played Palworld and Valheim, I never saw random players running around to interact with. That's the main draw to why this game is getting the attention it's getting, because people want to feel like they're playing in a living and breathing world instead of an empty-ish world that has a few npcs in it.
But in reality it doesn't make much difference. Seeing random people run around with no reason to interact with them, seeing them clip attack some zombies around you, again doesn't add much to it. They could be random NPCS for all I care. Now of course if the PVP servers were actual PVP it'd have made for an interesting gameplay option to ally or fight off any player you see, give you something to do besides killing mindless ez tv box head zombies.
The MMO aspect is definitely not something to be excited about in this game.
I get what you're saying, and I agree with you, but we're talking about the average players here. OP is confused why there's so many that are into this game, and it's because average players don't care about your logic about it. To them, seeing other players is cool even if they never interact with them.
You and I aren't the average player, and we find enjoyment in more fulfilling parts like open world PVP and such, but your average joe who works a 9 - 5 and plays FIFA with the boys and goes to miller's ale house to crack a cold one and watch sports? yeah nah lol they just think it's cool to play and see randoms online, and as much as we don't want to admit it, they're the majority when it comes to FREE TO PLAY games like these. That's why there's such a rise in F2P games lately is to be accessible to these types of people and to try to keep them in the game and paying as much as they can.
only played like around 40mins , was not my cup of tea. want to try it but already uninstalled
Fallout 76 is kind of similar but it's not new, not survival, barely developed and got only one real map expansion after all these years.
