this is my current setup and I play 60fps unhindered with no crashes and no dips in performance.
temperature of gpu is average of 50-60C, temperature of CPU averages around 65C. I don't even use my air conditioner for most of the time due to getting sick quite easily.
Few days ago I was crashing like hell playing darktide and helldivers 2. CPU went 85C instantly and BSOD with many types of errors.
How I fixed? I spent 10 hours learning how ot undervolt my CPU and optimize curve on GPU and CPU using msi afterburner and fan control.
CPU vsoc is set to 1.125 (down from 1.375~)
DDR4 voltage is set to 1.100 (down from 1.225~)
ddr4 is on 2933 mhz and fclk is on 1433mhz
After undervolting, not only my PC stopped crashing, but has never had any struggles with any game since.
Its the summer, regardless of hardware, if you don't have watercooling, you are in for burning your PC. Summer simply demands some hardware tweaking in BIOS to keep gaming smooth and don't kill your hardware.
Don't do my voltage settings, read on it and check whats best for you. But its common for devs to prioritize optimization less these days, so it falls to us to protect our hardware.
edit: added some stuff
I top out at 30 frames which is generally okay. That's with everything maxed out to the minimum settings.
I don't think they realize just how much the vegetation and the shadows burn away our GPUs unless we have top of the line equipment.
EDIT: I know this isn't about the topic per se...just saying I feel your pain. It's a great game...but they need to cut down on the shadows and vegetation for regular joes to be able to play too. :(
the initial start used up to 70% while shaders were compiled. since then it never went up.
