So everyone else is lying because you don't have the problem?
Points to a user issue.. clearly... check your pc.. come back
Please don't argue, it doesn't help at all. There isn't any other game that has this issue; clearly, there is a problem with this processor. This processor can reach 90 degrees with a good radiator. I use custom liquid cooling and a 360 radiator. The problem is that it goes to 100%. My friends play comfortably with less powerful processors than mine and theirs don't reach 90%. If you have nothing to contribute, please refrain from commenting.
YOU HAVE AN X3D.................... They've always RAN HOT in some titles. Have you not been aware? EVER?
Check the PCMR forums on reddit and FB. You'll learn quite a bit. Thank me later.
120fps? Flat 4K? Max settings?
You can't just say "I have a 7900 and I have this number" and that's it, there are lots of factors.
I've said it previously in the comments. 98-115 fps is around where I am. 3440x1440, maxed with a 7900 XT too. 32gb 5600mhz, SN770 Black, W11.
In my case, I had the FPS setting on unlimited. Lowering it to 120, which is the maximum the game allows, worked for me.

Does nothing for me when it comes to temperature, neither 120 setting, which I already had active, nor V-Sync from the game, the temp goes to flat 88-90 degre the second you are ingame. It's not even anything special that must happen like weather or enemies, it's immediatly and stays there. Only if you don't move for a minute and don't touch anything then it goes 10 degrees down, until you touch the mouse and it's up to 90 again.
Did some tests now and only setting FPS to 60 lowers temp, 120 is straight locked 90 degree on max setting and 4K.
Nothing to worry about. They have a max temperature normally 95C for Ryzen 7000 CPUs. The CPU will automatically drop clocks if it hits max temperature, and if for whatever reason it goes above that which is nearly impossible, the motherboard and CPU usually will hit a fail safe and shut off. (The exception is when bad bios in motherboards were blowing up X3D chips, but as long as you're not running old bios you're fine.)
Ryzen 7000 CPUs are designed this way, until you have a really great cooler. You can limit the operating temperature to lower values in BIOS and it stays there as well.
