Cryptominer?
I noticed two new processes appear in my startup tab in task manager after launching the game for the first time, "1" and "00da0b15-86f4-4b3e-8632-35e88b298f80".
If this isn't sus enough, it uses 100% of my CPU and GPU even when in main menu.
Just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this

I also noticed these two startup "apps", seems to point towards this "AppsFlyer" API - which is for analytics

As far as I know, which isn't really a lot. Does not seem to have anything to do with Cryptomining. I got a little bugged when I saw these two startup "apps" appear too similar format and all

I feel like stuff like this shouldn't be installed without user's consent either way, but there's still an issue of it using toouch of system's resources when it clearly shouldn't.

It's Ryzen 7 5800X paired with 4060, which is much better than recommended requirements
just disable the process. i manage to disable it.

Just saying that there's definitely something sus about it, not to mention that enabling some tracking software without user's knowledge isn't too good for their public image

VAC banned account opposing anything is ludicrous to say the least

Most miners these days have the ability to hide processes and even completely turn off once you launch any monitoring software or look for active processes.

Dude's got one vac ban from over 1500 days ago, come off it.

When we see "free" games, those of us who have working neurons understand the game isn't the product, the player is. In that situation, we get generally pretty concerned about how we're becoming the product. Being concerned about new programs being installed without our consent is a completely legitimate concern.

Steam should have dealt with this by now, the devs should have fixed this months ago before even launching. It's sketchy and stupid, and shows either uncaring, not understanding, or just incompetence. None of those things make me want to install this.

Who's gonna shut it down? China wants companies in their country to do this.

funny how after going after facts the all Miner concern just dissolve like nothing was there at all, but gladly thanks for the info nonetheless

Those of us who have working neurons undestand that free games have microtransactions designed to sustain them.
Those of you who sadly dont have working neurons lean into conspiracy and "china bad" ramblings

Yep, must be using grandad's old work laptop. Two tiny analytic in Startup are insignificant in terms of hogging resources. It's the potato he's using that has to be using 100% of GPU and CPU.
