When we see "free" games, those of us who have working neurons understand the game isn't the product, the player is. In that situation, we get generally pretty concerned about how we're becoming the product. Being concerned about new programs being installed without our consent is a completely legitimate concern.
Steam should have dealt with this by now, the devs should have fixed this months ago before even launching. It's sketchy and stupid, and shows either uncaring, not understanding, or just incompetence. None of those things make me want to install this.

Yep, must be using grandad's old work laptop. Two tiny analytic in Startup are insignificant in terms of hogging resources. It's the potato he's using that has to be using 100% of GPU and CPU.
