Is it possible to edit the appearance of your character after you have created it?

And I just found out 5 minutes ago that you need to craft a mirror in the game and you can change your appearance for free

Yeh, it's not free. You get some of the currency you need to use it for free though. Not sure where it came from exactly, possibly from the free stuff they are sending in the mail because it's launch.
