So, what is actually likely going on here? The body type 1 & 2 between the sexes is likely for ease of translations. Languages can also be more complex when it comes to this. For example in English we say female and male, which is obviously linked and even shares most of the letters. But not all languages aren't all like this.

German : Female - weiblich Male - klein

Hebrew: Female - נְקֵבָה Male - זָכָר

Besides the game is pretty based as it is, there are "normal" looking men and women and the outfits are full of flair and elegance, there is no agenda in the story whatsoever, the game is alright.
