Crashing Problem
When me and some friends teleport to deadsville for a mission, we crash. When we try to open the game again, we keep crashing. Anyone else have this issue? We tried repairing, closing steam, restarting computers.

Pal i literally have the best hardware on the market between two different machines with different builds, and they both crash. It is a game issue, the developers even stated it was on their end. Go take your meds little kid.

Someone on discord said:

Close the game. Go to the installation folder Once Human\Documents. Delete the following folders: baking_ppk, db_py3, and patch_ppk. Settings will be reset, and shaders and other files will be regenerated. After this, you should be able to get back on the server again.

This helped me to get from bugged location in the game.

Got the same crashing issue. This works but as soon I enter the game/server, it crashes. Giving me no time to move away from the location. (Mine crashes on an area near Deadsville where you get to do the a quest where you collect a Keycard.)

It took a few tries and would crash quickly but we kept trying and got lucky a few times to run or teleport to base. You can also try putting the game in window borderless click enter for the server then click to another monitor. Once you see the character load click back to the game then run / teleport.
Not sure this was the reason it worked but it did! Game didn't crashes as soon as I clicked the game once the character spawn. Teleport home and it didn't crash as well. Took a risk and went to the same place. Didn't crash as well! This one may work but what I did was made a new character on another server and then visited the place where I crash. So far, it didn't crash there so I switch back to my main character and it didn't crash. (I think the reason the game crashed for me on that area was when I visited it, it was was still rendering like the building was missing and other stuff.)

Updated possible fix to crashing and getting your character out of the area.

- Delete the documents folder inside your Once Human install folder.

- Launch Once Human and repair files from the menu.

- Log back into your server

I have not had any crashing since deleting the baking folder from my previous post.
I don't even need to go anywhere for the game to crash now, I walk outside my base and it crashes.

I have the same. It is happening in my base. It started happening after I disabled the apps that were added on windows start-up (ie the strange seriel numbers). Any fixes?

How-to fix crashing/rebooting PC

Took me 10H to fix it... every time I was launching it, my PC was rebooting. I saw a lot of players with the same issue, so here is the fix:

1. Click the Windows START MENU

2. Search SYSTEM CONFIGURATION

3. Click the SERVICES tab

4. Click Hide all Microsoft services (to avoid removing a system service). The list will be much smaller now.

5. Click Disable All

6. Manually enable services associated with your motherboard. My MOBO is an ASUS, so I enabled the 5-6 ASUS services

- Enable NVIDIA / AMD services

- Enable Steam Services (otherwise, you'll have a VAC error on startup)

- Enable services of hardware/software you really need (headset, mouse, keyboard, anticheat, etc.)

Exemple : I enabled Logitech (my mouse and headset), VGK (Valorant Vanguard), and 2-3 services that I know I needed.

7. Click Reboot NOW

ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me the Epic version seems better than the steam one. I played 8 hour with 1 crash only.

I had a similar problem. And I tried so many other people advice and what worked for me was what the game developers said should be done. The problem was my bios was out dated. My bios was from early December of this past year, my motherboard manufacture had just came out with a new version this past June 4th after updating my bios my game hasn't crashed since and also game should definitely be on a ssd or a m.2 I have an m.2 and a hdd drive. I made some room on my m.2 and then switched it over to it. And it also fixed the shader cache from always freezing at time when loading into the game, at times at that freezing point the game would crash too. So new bios and ssd or m.2 and you should be fine after that hopefully. Best of luck. Also everyone is say playing this game on the devs own launcher is better then the steam one and the epic one because on their own launcher you have to option to run the game on both Dx11 and Dx12. Many people are saying on Dx12 there's less crashing problems. But sadly there's now save cloud transfer of the game because there's no account login. And I got far in my game so I didn't want to start all over. But if you didn't get far, it's highly recommended to play it on their dedicated launcher. I hope they make a login for their game or a data transfer so I can then move onto theirs or hopefully they update the steam version to also have both Dx11 and 12.
