Rain water collector broken?

I have tried having the rain collector higher then the water storage and its not collecting it, I see the water is collecting as theres a timer but once it up theres no deposit is it just me being dumb or is anyone else having the same issue?

In my case the collection system always say currently not raining even if it's raining and it never colects anything

I checked mine after reading here and it works now for me, there was about 30 bottles in 1 collector in the 8-9 hours between I logged out and back into the game.

This was another reported bug that never got fixed.

Its not a bug, you must have the rain collector higher then the storage tank, and then connect the pipes up

Already did I had the rain collector on 3rd floor, water filter on 2nd, and water tank on main
still nothing

I found a solution, if you progress the memetic for water you'll eventually get the electric water pump use that instead if its bugged, you'll just need electricity for it

I suggest getting the water pump that uses electicity when youre able to it pulls up water from the ground

The next day IRL when I played the game, it was raining for several in-game days! Still didn't get a ton of water that a torrential downpour would provide, but it rained for several days.

I've got a new issue, the Timer on the collectors is 40 mintues per bottle of water, USed to be 1 every 5 or so minutes, it's broken. and i don't have the materials for a ground water pump yet

I make one for the journey, dismantle it and never us it again, faster to hand collect a lot once and by the time you need more you've probably unlocked pumps.

i placed a water collector but never use it, apparently out characters have an infinite supply of bottles we can scoop out of the lake
