And no, they cannot harvest it, they can request it but I guess you can't or didn't want to read the policy with a degree of understanding.
In some countries you are required to provide your id, address etc for online gaming and that's why the policy states that.
You can argue with Thor, a.k.a Pirate Software.
He is a game dev and totally knows more about this than you. That is where that quote is from.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AppsFlyer
p.s. you can disable them with no issue because they don't actually do anything except show how many times you've launched the game it seems
Registry processes usually have names like that, they just haven't gone to the trouble of masking the processes with names like some games do
Ok Boss i make a big and a small picture for you ok!?
Big picture ...
You think there is a software that can hurt us since several years if not a decade or longer and noone in charge is aware of that or doing somethign about it? Not all the people of the gaming industry, not the people of the government and not the rest of the people?
Small picture ...
You, you a little gamer like me, a noone like me, you think you have anything on your pc that the chinese government wants? What do you think could that be hm? Do you think they try to find out how they can sell you trash games for a lot of money or to make you buy things in those trash games? Dude they already know how to do that. Its already that far, that they only need a bunny and a spider bus to make us hype up games like OH or TFD to the heavens. They dont need anything from you, all the tech companys already know everything about us thanks to cookies and other user agreements. They already have anynthing from us. Its not china you should be afraid of, its all big players you should be afraidf of.. But this game here is our least problem trust me bro ;-)
This is going to be a copy paste, but it's not a virus, dw, just an incompetent port job from mobile to pc.

These 2 startup apps actually aren't apps at all, they should be inside the game registry but for some reason is registered as start up apps and does look worrying. It's an analytic software for Installs and uninstalls.
It's from this company https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AppsFlyer
The character strings is your assigned device ID, and the singular digit number is the amount of times you installed the game
They are a company that tracks installs/uninstalls for mobile games, for some reason it was included in the PC release of the game (like summoners war). If you are wondering why this is here, this game is actually a mobile game ported to PC.
Due to it being installed improperly, these "apps" aren't deleted when you uninstall the game. If you are playing the game actively, disable the process on startup as it'll restore the files every time you launch the game.
If you uninstalled and want the files gone, you'll want to run this string in your registery "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" and delete the "AF_counter" and "AF_uuid" files
Yes they want to use my given personal information. But there's nothing there... except the stuff every other company has too.
Gamertag, email, payment method etc...
Unless you create an account on their website and give them your data... or maybe purchase some ♥♥♥♥ from them..
good info, thx
Thx for the post. Just informative.
If your that much of a gullible person, then you might as well.
