why should i need to share my government issued id with some chinese company to play a video game, that is actually crazy
and people being ignorant about it is even crazier imo
This data collection have all online games and it is not based if is it china, usa or other countries and their must be there, because in china or korea is ID registration if you want to play games and out of their country that rule is not enabled only they using one translated text for whole world instead of removing rules which are not applicable, credit card info? Without it you will hardly buy ingame items and confirm they are not from stolen card and at the same time save your data for the next purchase. I am curious how many people read steam or discord EULA which data collecting and saving.
That part isn't for westerners, Korea and I assume China require govt id to play online games, how tf would they get that from you in the west?
Edit: after spending 10 seconds to type, China does infact require a government id to play online.
idk man i wanna play but i'm scared
should i do it?
Yeah as long as it's only american companies who vacuum your information and sell it whoever is willing to pay. Double moralism at best, that's what america is known for.
