Server access from India?

I was able to download the game from Steam but was unable to play as the game would be stuck on the verifying resources or something screen. Had to use a VPN to play. It was not a one-off issue, had to do that for the entire duration of the demo.

Want to know if it will be accessible on launch? I like this game but paying for a VPN just for one game is not worth it. Plus the latency is nothing to scoff at.

If you are blocking access for certain countries, then block it for those countries on steam too.

it is not the game blocking you it is India government there block the game from what i herd on the discord

Moving is not an option and I don't want to drop 900/- monthly to play 1 game. I'd rather spend that money in game. Don't know what the problem is? Mihoyo games work fine.

VPN is useful in general. Not sure where you are getting 900 but OK. If money is that much of a stretch for you then don't do it.

TBF it is only good for accessing geo-blocked content. Proton VPN is about 11EUR/month for a monthly plan which is a little more than 900INR. I'll have to sadly pass on this. Damn the government.

thats what we get when we let old people run the government, no one wants to live in peace and be friends. But sad that you can't get to play because a country block a game company. Ruins it for your entire citizens.

Use the official client from the official website. It works. No need for vpn whatsoever. I just filled US for location though xD. Also in game you can join South Asian servers, the ping is like 60 -70 and the game is pretty stable

Thanks both of you. I only had to use the VPN during the initial run. Tried without it just to check and it has been working.

Probably your country trying to do you a favor.
More likely your government recognizes the threat to their country and is attempting to defend itself.
