Exagerated Chat Filter

I want to start off by saying the game such as it is, is very well planned out the engines work great and the graphics are fantastic. However my major complaint at this time is the over rated over filtered chat filter can't say butt or idiot or even basic words like assemble without being told a bad word was noticed. Seriously I actually dislike being told I can't say whats on my mind it's not like I was using an actual swear word I'm close to just closing down testing on my end due to this. Even though I really don't wish to.

If you are playing their game, you agreed to their terms. Trying to be toxic and the filter catching it shows it is doing what it is intended to do.

Learn to be constructive in conversation. Using examples of "idiot" and "butt" shows you did not abide by ToS and was not constructive

Problem is you should not have to play word jumble just to say a non-toxic word. - He mentioned he could not say assemble. which means you cant say anything with the "ass" in it assassin, assassinate, assist. And it would likely not just be the "ass" causing it but other word combinations also. Its a pretty common issue with chat filters.

There's filters and then there's just no point using a chat at all because filters are so tight that you can't even hold a conversation without playing scrabble.

Get a thesaurus. Expand your vocabulary.

assist = help
assassin = hitman
assassinate = call a hit

And there are several other ways you can say things.

As you said, it is pretty common. Yet, those who complain and enable complainers are not willing to learn. They want everything to move for them.

It would be easier if I knew what words were filtered. Being told I used an invalid letter combination with no clue what it was is very annoying, can't find a substitute when I don't know what wasn't allowed. Not interested in trying each word individually in a vain attempt to narrow it down either

So the entire social interface is quite ridiculous.

We have the language filter, that besides being excessive also never tells you what it is that cause your message to fail, some for completely random reasons.

For example: One cannot type the phrase "I can make that." It cuts you off as soon as you type the "m" in make.

Add to that, once it does trigger, it removes your entire post, and soft locks the chat interface to the point you have to exit and re-enter to type your amended statement.

Not to mention words the dev's government are sensitive about, my list I've found so far includes:

China
Taiwan
Pooh (as in Winnie the)
Communist

This doesn't even touch on the ridiculous menu bouncing to send a DM to someone on your friends list. Zero notifications for friends/Hive mates entering/leaving the game.

Blueprint is another word that gets filtered, I guess I could try schematic even though they're not the same thing; but someone should get the gist I hope.
