very high cpu usage

i run the game on a Ryzen 7 5800x3d and i absolutely love it despite some bugs, but i get insane cpu usage spikes up to 100% from my usual 40-50% it seems to be happening when looking certain directions, would be cool if they could look into this. note all other games run fine on my rig and (all drivers up to date, have re installed, moved the game to another ssd and tried cranking down in game graphics settings)

Its not the game it’s UE5 that needs a lot of resources. Im on 700X3D and my CPU barely does anything. The future of gaming will require more of your setup than it ever did.

Yeah, the only solution is to use radeon/nvidia software to cap games fps to 60 and put the fps ingame on unlimited

Its pretty heavy on the cpu i think due to many bases being so close together, it becomes more stable as players spread out to new zones

same here, also there is some micro stutters when the game is loading things is guess? 99%fps then drop to 30 and a small stutter accure

I didn't know i9 9900k is considered to be old, it's still pretty good.

Thanks, it's little bit old but i will keep it for few more years until it show its real age, but now it still fine.

Absolutely not, I play several games under UE5 and this one is the first game which makes my CPU reach 80°C and we're not even in summer.

5800X3D + 3080 here. Locking to 60fps and reducing draw distance does help, but it will still hit over 80% CPU usage which makes no sense for a video game, not a single video game has had that much CPU usage with my set up, so it is very odd that this game does.

I checked my cpu and its 60%, ram is about 60% and gpu is 99.
I have a weak cpu so i guess its normal.
Might work better on amd systems like mine

100% usage will be a thing on LOW CORE COUNT or older cpu's.

Hmm I have a 75hz monitor so I disabled the FPS limit (so I can get 75ps) and my CPU usage was 40-80% which is imho too high. I enabled the 60fps limit and not its 20-40% cpu ?
Something ain't right, for those 25% more frames CPU usage should not double lol
I am on i5 13400 + 4070 super btw. Game runs smooth framerate wise, but this CPU usage is sus.

Ryzen 3 4100, rtx 3050 16gb ram and SSD, having the same problem, I limit fps to 60 and stopped, but trying to find a solution, I don't want to play with 60fps

I have found the fix, I think. So I have a 5800X3D + 3080 and my brother has a 5800X3D + 4070S, for both of us, we had random spikes of 100% CPU usage. What fixed it for us is.. use the in-game FPS limiter and stick it to 60FPS lock, put draw distance to 'MIDDLE' (or LOW, you may need to test both) and most importantly, go to task manager and turn the 'Once Human' process to 'LOW'. BOOM, FIXED. this was the only thing to fix it for me, now my 5800X3D stays at about 30% CPU usage and stays at max 50 degrees Celsius.
