CBT 3 Linux

I saw some discussion from the last beta about being able to install the game via lutris on linux/steam deck. I've tried the same but the installer for the launcher fails with an error in lutris. Has anyone gotten linux to work on the updated launcher for CBT 3? If so, how? Thanks.

I managed to get the launcher and game installed via lutris, but the terms and conditions window when you try and join a server just shows as a black box and then the game crashes. That's after I put in the activation code.

I didn't do anything special in lutris to get the installer running, it did complain the first time I tried it, but the next day it worked so maybe just keep trying?
If I get it working I'll try and remember to update here!

So far I've tried Wine GE, Proton 8, Proton Experimental, and Proton GE 9.2, all with the same issue except Proton 8, the launcher was just a black box when I tried it.

I managed to install and play during cbt2, but the game ran like mud on Linux compared to Windows. I also tried to install cbt3 on linux but could not. It would not let me install at all. The installer itself ran fine through Lutris, but after choosing installation path, it just returned an error.

Yeah that's the part I'm stuck at as well

for the new launcher installer failure, it needs winhttp to be installed .
using bottles here i went to dependencies and added winhttp when can be achieved by using protontricks and add winhttp dll.

Hey, is it possible to share ur bottle or ur Lutris script? I have the still a install failure..

no need for any script, the installer needs winhttp from bottles dependencies inside each bottle scroll down and you will find it then click install on winhttp

I cant get this to work. Then again, when I open Protontricks, it asks me to choose a game. But Once Human is obviously not in the list as it isnt installed. Selecting a Steam proton game from the list sends me to the wrong prefix, yes? So I tried a different route.

After cancelling the failed installation in Lutris, the "banner" of OH is still there, so I select it, then choose winetricks --> Choose default wineprefix --> Install DLL --> install winhttp --> click "cancel" to get to the previous winetricks menu --> Run an arbitrary executable --> select OH installer..

Still Error...

This should have worked, no?

Edit, I tried something else. I ran the installer as a non-steam game with Proton Experimental in Steam. Then, after the installer was "installed".. I could then select the installer in Protontricks. Then after navigating through lots of errors from Protontricks, I could install the DLL again. Then back to steam and run the installer again. Still error.

... back to windows I go. Hopefully it will run OOTB in Steam at launch. I dont want to use Windows :cry:
