Cancelling the IAP was a bad idea - convince me otherwise.
1. The developers offered everyone an opportunity to sign-up for the IAP. The registration was available to everyone. The questionnaire took 2 minutes.

2. The IAP servers were PVE only. No PVP access for IAP participants.

3. IAP users were bound to season 1 and would meet the same progress wall as everyone else once the game officially released.

4. The purpose of this was to test In APP Purchases, making sure that if there were bugs that the development team would have the ability to fix them before release.

5. If you had any reservations of IAP participants having any "edge" over you, you could avoid the servers altogether when the game launched.

6. The developers should of held a community vote.

I'm just having a difficult time mustering up the disappointment that a test focusing on the cash shop for a video game was cancelled. I guess I'm weird.

Not sure how the IAP would go down, regarding blueprints, though.

Yes, you would not be able to keep the stuff you bought through the store (at least thats what they wrote) - but my bet is, you’d be able to server jump and still keep your level and blueprints, once launch hits.

I could be wrong though.

2. Pve server do include pvp content, which mean that would still be a pretty big head up

3. they would get 2 extra week worth of starchrom refining (limited to 40) and weekly activity which mean a pretty big chunk of blueprint more than other, check point 2 as to why this is a problem

how does starchrom affect you as a different player in any way? only thing would affect you on a pve server is someone possibly taking your build spot that you wanted. otherwise you can play to game alone by yourself

Starchrom is the main way you have of unlocking new blueprints. This gives people with more starchrom the ability to obtain better weapons and armour, PvE has PvP content, even if it didn't we are starting to wander into semantic territory over whether booster packs are pay to win.

but that still doesnt affect you to get red-eyed by what gear other players have in pve, go do your own farming. Or buy the gears with real money if its a thing

You are obviously so well educated on how popular and well received pay to win systems are in the gaming industry. Good for you sir.

i dont mind pay to win, as long as i like the game. I mean money is money and can be easily made with a few hours of work. Supporting a game i like doesnt bother me. Money isnt everything. But yea i do play a few pay to win games, but they are pve so they dont bother most people. if its pvp and its pay to win like cod for example with buying fancy weapons to kill people then you will get grumpy. But you and your friend buying badass equipments to kill monsters in pve doesnt hurt anything

Most people who have actually considered the future of what pay to win mechanics in both PvE and PvP games will do to the industry are against it. There is very little they can do about it due to people with arguments and wallets similar to yours. And for about the 5th time in this conversation THERE IS PvP IN PvE SERVERS!!!!! Do you have any actual understanding of the difference between what a PvP and PvE server is in this game? There is very little difference. Anyway I am done with this conversation.

I don't want to get into a big discussion about whether pay-to-win is bad or not (spoiler alert : it's bad), but at a bare minimum you should understand that the moment a developer makes the decision to monetize power, convenience, cosmetics, etc. in their video game, that developer now has a very real incentive to make elements of their game intentionally and unnecessarily worse so they can then turn around and sell you the solution to a problem they intentionally created.

So by that logic, anyone who plays more than another person e.g., plays content unlocking starchrom more than a player who has not gains an advantage as well?

Yes they do, but at least it is an option, the difference here is choice, people will accept this if it is in their control, i.e they have jobs or other IRL things to do and know that the reason they are behind other players is because they have spent less time in the game. It changes peoples perspective when there is nothing they could have done about it. Let's say you applied for the IAP, didn't get in but your friend did and is now really far ahead. How would you feel about that? Even if you would be ok with it, many wouldn't.

with starchrom you roll BP, with more BP shard to feed it you get more star on that BP which mean more stats.
and stop claiming that PvE server mean no pvp, it's a lie, there is many pvp content even on pve server.

not sure what's your point ? if people don't play the game of course they will fall behind, how is that the same as a random selection from the devs giving you 2 week worth of farming ? also even if they play less they'll still have the same weekly limite for starchrom refining.

I think it was a good choice for the developers ... NOW EVERYONE Will Start at the Same level and the Same skill tree.
Now you just Have to WAIT _ LIKE Everyone else.
