Seasonal Resets
Can I get some clarification on what happens when a season ends and a new one begins.

Not really interested in playing a game that uno reverse cards my progression to recycle content.

I’m not sure. Non of the betas I’ve played ever had a reset that I experienced. Don’t really care about season stuff anyways

Your character level/gear wipes, as does your base. You effectively start over, but the cosmetics you earn per season, persist.

You keep the blueprints / cosmetics you find. Everything else resets. New missions and new map every season.

when I played CBT 3 each week was billed as a new season you got new missions and unlocks and stuff but nothing reset at all

I thnk you are confusing "seasons" with stages of a season. A season last six weeks and is divided up into different stages. Each stage lasts about a week and then moves on to the next stage of the season.

There was never a beta with multiple seasons. The longest beta (CBT3) was 6 weeks and that was one single season with multiple stages to advance through. That’s why your character and possessions remained intact.

Basically a wipe every 6 weeks for pvp servers.
I dont know about pve servers.
You do keep some progression and resources so you can make better stuff and advance faster next time.
Clearly a pay to win and play millions of hours to win

PvE servers have the same seasonal rules as the PvP servers. You have to re-level your character up again from level 1, unlock the memetic tree again, re-clear POIs on the map again, etc.

so there's no way to play SP offline without restarting every 6 weeks ?

The problem I have with this is the length, 6 weeks seems SUPER short for leveling up a character and farm endgame.

Well the developer reasoning was that they wanted to promote a "stress-free gaming experience", and nothing says "stress-free gaming experience" like knowing you're on a 6 week timer to unlock all the FOMO rewards.

^^This is correct^^

^^This is not true at all^^

Same map, same missions just different goals to meet for rewards from the last season.

I mean nothing says casual, refreshing and stress free quite like SCP lore and a Lovecraftian world... Am I right?

I can't really see myself doing the same content every 6 weeks, and I really enjoy the game and I played through the betas.
4 months per season would be a lot better imo, but we'll see how it goes.

I don't know.. If the map and missions and maybe even enemies are completely different EVERY... important.. EVERY time, then I am fine with it but not if they recycle content. Like. You "invest" 30h to get to the point where you're at just to start over because... you are masochistic and don't value your time? I think this might actually be the biggest negative point for most players. No one likes the wipes. No one = majority.

There is just no way they are going to be able to introduce a new map every time, nor will they be able to shuffle the POIs around as the map has clearly been designed to accommodate their current locations. (think of the Sutherland Family Orchard as an example). It took them years just to get the current map done and it still has bugs all over the place.
