To give you an actual answer, here it is: the vast majority of Russian speakers are in Russia (there are some in the surrounding countries, but most of them are in Russia itself). Russia as a country is currently cut off from the SWIFT banking system (the system that most other countries, especially in Europe, the US and Japan use for bank-to-bank transactions across international lines). Because of the war, Russia has isolated itself financially, being able to basically only work with China, Iran, North Korea, so Russian banks and credit cards have no reliable way to process payments to these companies.
As a company designing a product, you have to make the decision of "How much is this going to cost me to implement, and how much money is it going to get me in return?" To be frank, it's simply not worth the effort for most companies anymore. If you're in Russia and you have an issue with this, maybe think about changing your government to not invade your neighbors. If you're not in Russia, then you're just a victim of their poor decisions.
Not really, when you have fascists in the Kremlin starting the largest war in Europe since WW2, it tends to rub people the wrong way. More than the normal ahole behaviour of most countries. Not to mention the whole genocide, and stealing of Ukrainian children to top it off. Then to follow it up with threats of ending the world in nuclear fire because the west wont let them wipe a nation off the map it. There isn't a both sides argument for this one. Just Russians chasing their imperialistic ambitions once again. Like it always has its entire existence.
In regards adding the Russian language, who cares. Putin will need more meat for the front lines soon, if I was a Russian I would be more worried about that than playing a video games. Wont be long before he comes for students and others who think they are safe from conscription.
And I'm not Russian I'm Arabian and Maltese but i want to be fair that when I tried the beta there were so many Russians in my server, and they were respectful to everyone, spoke to me in English and spoke Russian to each other.
Russians say it was USA messing close to their borders, which I think it was true because USA always messing with other nations in the last 100 years, like they did in the Middle east, Latin America, Africa, Vietnam and many other countries, always you find them messing with other nations 10000km away from them and they never want to stop doing that.
and if you want to talk about things from WW2 until today then we can talk about USA and how many countries they invaded, and not neighboring countries as Russia did in Ukraine but USA went to the other side of the planet earth to invade poor people homelands and killed millions.
and if you want to talk about nuclear bombs i think you should not, because we know who is the only country used it against innocent civilians, twice.
so yes i wish we can stop talking politics and allow all gamers to play video games without any politics or it will be very terrible mess for all of us.
For starters, US messing near the Russian border is a load of sh*t. It's hilarious, the Russian Federation is fragile about an defensive alliance built around the fear of their imperialistic ambitions for other nations territory. Which they are showing us right now in Ukraine. Which they also openly admit to on their own state TV for other nations along their borders LOL. Russia is pulling a Joseph Goebbels on you. “Accuse the other of that you are guilty.” and you are taking it hook, line and sinker.
Secondly, Russia invaded Ukraine. There is no way you can sugar coat a full blown invasion of another country, especially when it was the invaders that destabilised that country in order to invade it in the first place LOL. Which is conveniently left out of the story when Russia tells it. Add some genocide, and kidnapping of children and it still isn't enough for you. I swear they could be executing civilians on the street on camera and people like you would still talk a way around it.
As for your whataboutism regarding American conflicts. Its true, they have been a handful since the end of WW2. But its nothing compared to the Russians across their conflicts, and even on their own people. Its funny how everything you mention also lacks context. e.g. the reason for the conflicts, or even the reason why nukes were used on Japan. But of course that's the reason why you are so vague, just like the Kremlin in their propaganda. Because if it was bought into context you would see a huge disparity between the actions of the US/west and Russia. Here is a good one: Russians caused over 2 million deaths in Afghan over 9 years (1979-89), a figure the combined west could get close to over 20 years. Over multiple conflicts in the middle east. But let me guess people got confused when Russians changed from the USSR to the Russian Federation? We apparently forgot the good old Russians that had no issues siding with the Nazi's at the start of WW2 in order to split Poland up between them? Or maybe the fact that Russians just decided to keep half of Europe after the war? Funny how the west side managed to avoid being absorbed by the victorious allies... But apparently the US and West are the bad guys in the Ukraine war. What a joke.
In the end though, corporations are the main culprit, at least what you 'can' see publicly. What you cannot see are the private entities that funds many of them, because they are private, their money isn't counted in the market capitalization of every major corporations you can see publicly.
A 'investment' company with a market cap of 100 billion doesn't mean they aren't hoarding trillions elsewhere for instance, since all market cap indicates is how much of their current money is 'invested' in the world, 'uninvested' money isn't tracable.
Oh yeah, Canada is apparently the #1 country in the world with the most money sitting in banks... Doing nothing? Not invested in the country they are in.
But the culprit is not only Russia, but also America and the West.
USA wanted to trap, exhaust, and weaken Russia, so they provoked Russia and pushed them to invade Ukraine.
We know that the Ukrainian government agreed to remain neutral, but they were manipulated by the USA and the West, they promised them entry into NATO and the EU if they changed their minds in this regard.
Yes Russia should leave Ukraine but USA should rebuild it and stop messing with other nations.
Also USA are responsible for the ongoing wars in Libya for example, they bombed the Libyan leader and started a civil war 10 years ago and still going.
I was a baby child at that time living in that country, we managed to escape safely because my father is a hero and because we were lucky that we were foreigners from another country that still have good relationship with the Libyans.
also in Syria, Yemen, Egypt, and all civil wars in the Middle East were planned by the Democratic Party in the United States, Obama, Hillary, Biden, etc.
They called it the Arab Spring and it was nothing but a barren and deadly summer.
USA can't stop messing with other nations for more than 100 years and still messing without any signs or hope they will stop.
also in Iraq they invaded Iraq with the fabricated claim that it possessed weapons of mass destruction, they found 0 weapons of mass destruction, and they completely destroyed Iraq, millions of innocent civilians died, and Iraq is still a war zone until the present time.
Not only wars and invasions, but also interference in the internal affairs of other peoples and their cultures.
USA and the west do not want to stop imposing their culture on other nations by force.
all the time you find them everywhere on planet Earth in a very lowly way, trying hard to impose their vulgar culture on others by force or by malicious methods that directly target peoples.
"Why are you against fat acceptance? Why you don't believe in climate change? Why you don't have LBGT? Why you have only 2 genders? Why your women are not westernized? Why no abortion? Why no freedom of being trash? Why you have death penalty for murderers? Why you are too harsh on criminals? Why you are very clean? Why your kids are good kids?"
American government junk, the world is sick and tired of them, leave other people alone.
And we go back to my original point, I told you we should keep gaming community away from politics, I like American people "not the government" and I don't want them to get treated badly because their government is bad.
The same with Russians, I like them and I don't want them to be treated badly because of their government, and same with all other innocent civilian people around the world, they should be treated well.
and we should keep gaming community away of what the governments are doing, away of politics just like sports.
