Deviation use

I can't seem to be able to use my deviation, I press E and nothing happens, same thing during the tutorial, am I doing something wrong? Is it supposed to unlock later on or early in the game.

You put the deviant in a glass box. Then you select the box and sync urself with deviant. A copy of it now appears in your backpack. Its icon is now displayed on the right side of the screen. When his energy is full, you call him. You can revoke it at any time, or it will be revoked automatically when all the energy is spent. The rate of energy gain depends on what conditions the deviant has. You can see them by interacting with the glass box.

There is nothing wrong with them, this is a user issue.

what happen if i have more than 1 same deviant?

Yea I was dumb as well and did not understand that you have to put it inside the glass thing at your base and leave it there, then press F and synchronize with it to use it while leaving it in the glass thingy at base. I took it out and carried it in my backpack and did not get why it was not working.

I can't use mine either. I placed it inside the box, sync'd it, a copy of it is in my backback but there is no icon for it on the right side of the screen and E does nothing, broken game.

I ran into this same problem - but I fixed it - read on.

I usually run a Dvorak keyboard mapping in windows. I tried remapping keys in Once Human but it quickly became clear that wasn't going to work, so I just used the Windows keyboard switching and switched to QWERTY. Everything in the game worked fine then, except the E key. I restarted the game, and tried to reset key bindings a few times, no help.

The Fix: Go into your Windows keyboard settings, and switch your default keyboard mapping back to QWERTY. The E key then works correctly.

To be even more sure you have it synchronized. If you do, it will show in your backpack. Like literally on your back. When you move it will become obscured by the pack having some kind of black shade materialize over it, but if you are standing still, and your backpack (the one on your back for clarity) is empty, you do not have a deviant synchronized currently.

Okay for simpletons like myself, YOU DONT WITHDRAW the deviation. You press 'F' to use the facility and then "sync to cradle"

Everyone just says press E which is correct in a way but you have to USE THE FACILITY (F)

Many people assume facility as a building or a structure and don't associate a piece of FREAKING furniture as a 'facility'
