Once Human

Once Human

Demo constantly crashes
I've had non-stop issues with this Demo, first it wouldn't launch at all, cool simple solution..

Now it crashes every few minutes with no crash log, even tho it tries to create one (I see the command prompt pop up)... Event viewer has nothing about the crash report either -_-

Anyone else having as many issues as me? I even turned off my overclocks to check if that could be a issue (It wasnt)

Then in the settings for it change these options to what I have listed here:

Low Latency Mode = Ultra
Power management Mode = Prefer Maximum Performance
Threaded Optimization = On
Vertical Sync = Fast

I also went to where Once_Human.exe was and opened the Properties > Compatibility and checked the box for Disable Fullscreen Optimizations.

I haven't crashed since, been going on 2 hours now.

In Windows it runs perfectly fine for me (intel CPU and AMD gfx).
After installing an old proton version I even had it running on Linux... so... yeah

Yep same here. Crashing seemingly randomly every 3 to 10 minutes of gameplay.

UniCrashReporter window pops up briefly before the crash.

Intel 14700k and AMD 7900XTX Nitro+ 24GB

Intel i9 14900k and RTX 4090 TI here.... I'm just going to give up on trying the game

Yep, also got the same with rtx 4090 & i9 14900k. All drivers updated, fresh installed the game new, searched whole windows and still crashes randomly or even dont start sometime.

All three of us with high end rigs, so that's certainly not the issue.

I tried different video settings: Windowed, lowered locked FPS, Low settings, the same crash always occurs.

This fixed my Issue, I'm not sure which of the options would be causing the issues. But i'm not getting any Crashes now

Welp, guess I'm once again being shown I shouldn't have ''tried something different'' with an AMD gpu this time around.

Toyed around with AMD settings in Adrenalin to no avail

It crashes every time i hit the Windows Key to check things

The crashing actually came back, I got enough time before hand to make me decide it wasn't worth the trouble of me wasting time.....

I've saw people claiming Hardware Acceleration on discord turned off helped run the game, or just closing discord.
Also a few people suggested other launchers and/or downloading it from their site. Personally i won't be attempting to fix it any further.

Overall, This game isn't for me... I did really enjoy the Monster Models tho

Damn that sucks that the crashing came back, thanks for making this thread tho. My game crashed my whole computer four times in a row in the opening cinematic but that Nvidia settings fix the other guy posted worked for me so far. I don't know how much longer I'm going to play it either, I thought the story seemed promising but I'm a bit unsure about all this base building stuff so far. I'm a bit burned out on base building games but I'm happy I at least I got to get past the crashing to try it

Thanks for the fix. I couldn't even get past the opening intro after it crashed my whole computer like four times. For some reason changing these settings fixed it so far. How weird. I kind of wonder which setting it was but I don't really feel putting my pc through any more of that

Obviously something wrong with how your pc is set up. Ran with default max setting not changed a thing, running now for over 8 hours no issues in 4k.
