How do I emote / Expression!??!?!

As the title says! need to do an emote and i have pressed every button i have in front of me. NOTHING!
X brings up an Expressions wheel but has none set (I have purchased ones from the store). No keybind settings show anything either,,,,,,

after purchasing the "emote" press I then click gear then click emotion on top of the screen then equip your emote. close the window then press X to choose your emote.

Update as of today:
Default for the emote wheel is X, but all the shortcuts are empty by default. To assign actions to the wheel go into Inv/Gear screen and click Cosmetics - > Expression.

You are making it so difficult on yourselves. The emote wheel has 2 icons on it at the bottom. Select the bottom left one and you will get an onscren menu with all emotes.
