I think it is not worth the effort to make plantations because of the complicated mechanics it has, it is a lot of expense compared to the reward, it is not worth so much effort if in the end you find the vegetables on the floor, but to make them grow it is too complicated , you have to worry about sunlight, water, etc. You go to farm in a city and when you return your seed is already dead, not to mention that it takes much longer to grow than the respawn they have on the map
