Is PVP flag or always on?
Can I turn PVP off, or is it always on?

Game looks cool. But, not at the expense of forced PVP.

It is not forced PvP. You have zones or your flag for PvP by holding P

That or if you pick up an Echo stone I think is what it is called it puts you into PVP.
Plus there are spots you can turn on machines to get items that puts a PVP zone around as well.
