Will there be FPS mode?

dunno if devs/mods are active here but i wonder if we will have an FPS option. It feels like it would look and feel better if it was FPS just like every other TPS game.

Do you mean First Person Mode all the time mode. Because they have first person option when holding a non melee weapon. If you right click mouse one time (dont hold it just click) it will put you into first person mode to use range weapons. While in First person you can't run but you can still crouch, jump, and move around. Obviously makes shooting a lot easier if you are one to prefer that type of shooting versus third person shooting.

i saw that but didn't realise u can move without shooting it sounds stupid unless it's a beta thing and it's like that cuz they will actually put an FPS mode but they didn't finish it yet. because having opt-in fps mode and being able to shoot, walk, jump, crouch but nothing else is weird. and yes of course i meant changing the camera perspective completely. i hate third person view it just makes games look and feel worse in every way for no logical reason other than "it is what it is".

I prefer third person. It limits gameplay way less. I don't mind them adding an option though for people who want it, but I wouldn't want them to mainly focus on it. Survival games just tend to look and play better in third without restrictions, unless its a pvp focused game, like rust where such stuff is more in line with a singular game goal. RP mechanics often just seem rather bland, if there's no animations on screen to accompany it properly. Similar to a lot of combat and stature, such as roll jumps, or enemies that have aoe attacks, bullet hell and such. Just tend to not work well in first person, without reworking everything to fit it. The lack of fov, forces them to rework such abilities from enemies, that try to surround you or hit from every direction.

If they ignore that and add it anyway, then its perfectly fine by me, but then first person would simply just be hard mode. They could make fps servers I suppose, but yeah, its unlikely they'd change every enemy to fit it fully if its incorporated. Would be an enormous task in an already ambitious game.

i hate using these kind of sentences but it genuinely sounds like a skill issue. they don't need to rework or change anything. it's absolutely playable in first person mode. FPS mode doesn't limit anything, developers do if they want it that way.

I was going to explain it with details but after seeing u are a hardcore DbD fan i don't think it's worth it and i don't think i can argue with someone who has that much of a boring personality. It also explains why u don't care things that i would care. so yeah i ll just leave it here and go away.

well, i bet you can imagine the 3rd person is typically so they can sell cosmetics...
