Private servers?

Can we play with /just/ the people we want to play with? Via invites and stuff?

Yeah I've been wondering this too. it would be nice if we can run and configure our own dedi's. i love the look of the game but only the co-op side of it not the pvp. dont get me wrong pvp is fine but not in this kinda game it just leads to griefing and offline base raiding which ruins the game for alot of people.

I have been on the Beta for a week and seems it's PVE for the most part and the PVP seems to be spawn in on the map in an area at times for a event or something but you don't have to do it and can only PVE if you want and from what I have seen PVP NOT being forced on US and thats good thing

they kinda do with eternal land. Its still being worked on but its like a sandbox mode and you have control over basically everything, invite/permissions, it almost looks like you can create your own pve content in it but again, its very early on this and not sure where it will go.

I would love a definitive answer from the devs as I usually host the servers for my group (Mainly interested due to the base overcrowding I've seen)

I want private server hosting, even if it's just LAN support, mainly so the game will always be playable. Because inevitably within our lifetime the official servers will shut down. They always do.

Plus less ping and no homeless camps covering the entire road would be nice lol.

The base building and land grab stuff is already messy in the demo, so private servers would be very helpful. I really hope it doesn't end up as a microtransaction mess.
