The ♥♥♥♥ you are on about? MS never bought discord, they wanted it but discord refused
I stand corrected.
Still glad I left....when is (insert name)game coming out? BAN
Just look what happened to the dead matter discord.
To me it's a place for the devs to hide and fan boys kiss each other.
All news and video and updates should be here on steam.
How is this complicated? You know there are like.... free texting apps you can just get a free number on that has no link to you right? You have 100 options. 99 of them being "Resolve the issue" and somehow you picked "♥♥♥♥♥ about it on an online forum". Sheesh
If anyone uses free texting apps. They must be stupid..
My normal text app is encrypted.
Think I will go and read the T&C of discord concerning the phone number.
I mean if it ever gets hacked....everyone will have to change their number.
Microtransactions are bad. Pretending "don't like it, don't buy" is sufficient is ridiculous and has allowed things like Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 to come about.
Despite your troll remark, the reason I care is because the discord is clearly being used as a feedback portal, with the ability to find people to coop with and test the game. It's useful.
Calling them out for the absurd discord security they implemented that COUNTLESS OTHER GAMES do not use is perfectly valid in my opinion.
Google Discord class action lawsuit
They don't have to. And even if there WAS a class action lawsuit, taking my private and personal data and saving it permanently seems... Oh. I don't know. Way. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Worse.
Remember Sony?
Considering many of them relate to why knowing your info is a must. I question your reasoning system. It's as if you are part of the problem they want to solve.
I'm part of the problem for wanting my highly personal information (phone number) to remain personal and private?
Mate. There's bigger discords, all that are official that don't implement this.
Been in their discord for weeks and have never been asked for my phone number.
::EDIT:: Just checked and they still don't care about my phone number LOL
It's also less stress on the mods.
Or your ip address or recent discord activities, typically questionable, triggered their auto bot to force a phone verification (This is related to Discord). Typically an email verification is enough... Discord mobile app might be another story.
Either case, you just do it or don't. Otherwise, full karen mode, visit every other forums or whatever websites and whine about it but in the end... Nothing will change.
